I've seen a time of 13.1 at 105 for a stock Mach 1. A stock LS1 ain't whooping that.

OK guys I would like to chime in. I have been a mustang freak all my life, but I would like to say one thing in strippers defense. After quite a few arguments with him, I finally realized (and with people that have raced at his same track) that there are ALOT of people near him that can't drive for sh!t. At first I thought he was full of crap. Seems how machs were high 13s low 14s at his trrack and terminators are low to mid 13s. People just can't drive there. I thought the track was crap, but from what 3-4 other people say, it is one of the best. Stripper is ONLY posting what he has experienced first hand.


HAVING SAID THAT.........Stripper, you need to realize this yourself. Machs are low to mid 13s and termin. are mid to high 12s. THere will always be better and worse drivers. But these times are the avg. norm. PLEASE stop thinking that machs are slow and terminators are your only competition. It just isn't true. cobra=Vette (most Z06s and quick C5s), mach/N.A cobra = Fbody LS1 (c4 and some c5stoo)and GT = LT1.

Driver ability needs to be considered.

My 99 Cobra (the slow year) ran 13.5@101mph stock. With 4.10s, shifter, midpipe, and catback it ran 13.1@106mph with a 2.0 60'.

Now it runs 13.0@105mph with a 1.5 60'. :rockon:

Both cars stock are sooooo evenly matched it will come down to the driver mod especially from a dig. I do think a stock SS has the advantage over a stock geared Mach from a roll. My car went 13.2 @ 108 bone stock w 315rwhp @ 326rwtq. I've not seen too many stock Mach's trap past 106mph. My buddy's Mach ran 12.6's @ 108 w 4.56s, ET's out back, prochamber, CAI w flowmasters.

WOW thats impressive, but i've seen a time 12.6 at 111 for a stock 6spd C5. a stock mach ain't whooping that. the fact is that these two times aren't that common, but nice try

I trapped 106 when I was stock. I've seen several 12.9x-12.8x runs from non Vette LS1s too. I'm trapping 118 now though so I don't really care about stock Machs or Terminators anymore.

...and not the norm. He made a general statement and, generally; a 280-300 RWHP, 3,400lb, 3.42 geared LS1 F-body will *not* "hang even" with a 360-380 RWHP, 3,600lb, 3.55 geared '03/04 Cobra.
