Now that hurts. I was born in Honolulu but haven't been back there since 1985. Were you overcome with the smell of flowers when you walked off the plane?

I only had a few hours this weekend to do anything car related. I spent a few moments pulling the original seats out and put them in the basement next to the Recaro twins.

I'll weigh everything when I have a chance. Suffice it to say, the OEM driver side seat is quite a bit heavier than everything else due to the power unit. I suspect that the Recaro unit won't be much less with the track swapped.

How nice it would have been to be able to simply bolt in the Recaro's at tis point instead of having to disassemble both them and my original seats...

The disassembly is definitely a pain, they don't make anything easy these days! Can't wait to see pics installed

You guys are killing me. I suppose it makes sense to tackle these next as they are already out of the car and in a warm place. Driveline mods are being put on hold!

Well I have a few things to take care of so I apologize if that popcorn goes stale. Heck, where are these other guys that have the seats but have yet to swap the internals and put them into their cars?

01SVTSnake, how about those photos?

I'm still waiting for Summit to deliver a pair of Hog ring pliers as well as a bag of rings.

Plus, I have a few other irons in the fire at current...

Thank you TOB for all your write ups and insight. You provided much needed motivation while I've been away from home.

Work is killing me lol.

Heres a few quickies I snapped with my cell. Forgive the crapiness of the lighting. I also absolutely love the seats. Im 5'10 190lb and I fit perfectly in them

I just got a message regarding the "B" Recaro seats from FRPP. There are only a handful of them left and then the only listing will be the slightly more expensive "C" seat. Unless of course, a leather offering ever happens.:whine:

What's the difference between the B Recaro and the C? Or should I read and not be so lazy? LOL!

Thanks to everyone posting in this thread. I've not said much but, I've sure been watching! So want to do this after I get a few other things done.

The seats look huge compared to the stock seats. Hard to believe they're supposed to be lighter.

Pony23, how are you separating the plastic bezels at the top of the seats (where you'd run a harness through)? Squeeze and release (somehow) or do you need to unlatch a clip?
