Those who know me, I do high end detailing for a living. The type of detailing that can take anywhere from 10-60 hours on one vehicle. For my new to me Mach 1, the car deserved my highest level package. For a car with 23,000 miles on it, it deserved to look like it was brand new. Paint was in pretty rough shape and needed a lot of work. Previous owner had it detailed by a less than professional detailer and the paint was covered in marring. Engine bay was just as bad. So, spent the last 3 days doing the car out fully. 100% correction, all jambs cleaned and sealed, engine bay/paint was cleaned and sealed/dressed. Then applied the Opti-Guard Resin Treatment to the paint. Paint came out amazing. Literally looks better than new. Under all the micro marring, scratches and water etching, was amazing paint.

Pulled it in too start cleaning.

whoa...that looks wayyy better, how much does something like that cost?

If this would have been a customers car....

Exterior Level 3 Package ($1500)
Engine Bay ($100)
Taillights ($75)
Opti-Guard ($300)

Total ($1975)

Looks really good. Competition Orange? What products did you use? What was your steps? How did you get the trunk jambs cleaned out from the mold?

Products were 205 and HD Polish. Alcohol mixture to clean the paint. Opti-Guard (Have to be a business to purchase, Opti-Coat is the commercial brand.)

Trunk jambs were Chemical Guys Grime Reaper, assorted brushes and elbow grease.

Wow, what a difference. You definitely make it look brand new! I need to do this with mine. I never used a buffer wheel so I'm a little hesitant. Every time I see detailing pictures it makes me want to give it a shot. I have so many swirls on mine it's ridiculous.

What HD Polish? Can enlighten me on the Alcohol Mixture? What do you mix when do you use it in the process?

Not cheap to get into detailing. Granted I have been doing this for 7 years, I have a pretty solid amount of products at my disposal. lol

Again, not cheap to buy your own products. Then you have to invest a good bit of time into it too do it correctly.

Wow that is amazing! I need to do a good detail like that when its out of storage. How did you do the glass?

Glass was done by buffing it.

Great job. Love the car/color. Is it an Auto or Manuel?

Manual. Built T56 swap.

+100000

My glass looks the same.

Thanks.

What machines did you use to achieve that? Rotary? Flex?

I would put learning on how to properly use a rotary and wet sanding on my list of things I want to learn how to do in the detailing world.

Nice work as always, congrats on the car! Looks like none was spared here on this one, I am assuming wheels are in good condition or were they removed for a full restore?
