t45 with stock gears:

3.37:1*3.27:1=11.0199:1

t56 with 4.56

2.66:1*4.56:1=12.1296:1

math does not lie. His first gear is shorter then stock. THAT is what my point is. He has more gear then his fastest pass. The only way he could possibly loose time is on a extra shift, or driver error on the new setup.

You are correct, however, with a t45 and 4.56 that number increases to 15.3672. So while he may have more gear then stock, the t56 essentially negated most of the benefits of the 4.56 gear in first gear. His current setup t56 with 4.56 is basically like running 3.55 with a t45 in first.

Subscribing for the results of the runs tonight.

Missed a combined total of 4 gears in 2 passes, in 3 hours.

I've NEVER missed a shift at the track, and I've only missed a gear once on the street with this car.

I'm unbelievably frustrated with myself.

Way to learn absolutely nothing. -_-

Still getting used to the T56 shift pattern.

I must of used every foul word on the book.

You can't allow the RPMs of a B headed engine to drop on launch, doing so will kill the ET every time. This is why I would never run a tran with a 1st gear lower than 2.90 and a 4.56 rear gear.

I had 1.70's consistently with it. I meant a high RPM launch...

Launching at 5k allowed me to dead hook, with slight big. I should of limiter launched it. Or at least 6k.

Bone stock 112k suspension, besides the counter productive lowering springs. That's getting changed soon, too.

And some borrowed lower control arms! Lol

How are the axles in the '96-'98 Cobra's? I know in my car it's a good idea to go with 31 splines if you plan on running a slick or you'll end up with pretzels for axles. I was just wondering because it seems like you're launching pretty hard

Of I will get 31's... When my 28's break.

It's a very good idea to beef up ANY driveline part when racing.
