I found someone who is interested in trading a Mystichrome coupe for my 2011 Mustang GT. I have been looking on the classifieds to try and gauge the value of the car and haven't been able to find anything really comparable. The car has around 6500 miles. Very basic quality mods Bassani exhaust, MGW shifter, small pulley. Everything else is stock and of course the car is immaculate. Give me some feedback on what would be a fair price for this car? I was thinking $22-23k was in the ball park but I may be off....

sounds like the car is in really nice shape....
Probably 24k - 26k and i'd steer towards the higher end of that spectrum.

Of course, if the car is not as advertised, your #'s would be closer to reality.

I just don't see a 6,500 mile Cobra going for $22k in any color. At least for me that would be a steal but you never know. It's right after Xmas so they may need to move it.

I'm going to say it's worth closer to 27k based on what you have told to us.

The part I highlighted in red does contradict itself though.

while it was the 3rd most produced color in 04 (I think thats right) the cost on the base car was a decent amount (not sure exactly on the up charge for the color choice) so what ever another color 04 is worth just add on about 1000-1500 more (or about what ever the color's charge was)~

I would think the 23-26k range wouldnt be that bad of a place to be in~ never can tell with low miles though~

I forgot the word ELSE Everything ELSE is stock

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Knowing me the car will be for sale within a year so I wanted to make sure the value was in the neighborhood. My bottom line on my 2011 was $25000 so it may not be a bad trade

If were talking what would I pay for it and consider it a fair deal all around - 23, maybe 24k. The low miles are a big plus, but you would want to know that the pulley setup is done right and the car was tuned after.

Nice. Now get it back in the garage!!!!lol.

And if you're trading it for a 11 GT the Gt is going to lose value quicker where in 3/5 years the cobra should be worth close to what you paid/or traded value for it and the GT will keep going down in value every 6 months.

That is a huge part of why I am considering the trade. The GT will lose value faster, especially when the new Mustang comes out, while I think the 04 will hold it's value longer.

Did the guy just have random pictures from where he was out driving it with snow\salt on the road? A 6k mile Cobra shouldn't be out in that.

He pulled it out to take some pictures and put it right back in the garage. He has a one car garage and couldn't get any good shots.
