I just remembered why I love Sonic Blue so much! Stunning Terminator. The engine bay rocks!

Good looking Cobra, and I see you love black paint. That's your F-150, right? Good looking truck, too!

Very nice, Z. I just picked up a '03 Sonic Blue last week myself, its a brilliant color.

I saw your post from 2020 (its on page 33 of this thread) of the Silver cobra with the chrome SVT wheels and its the stance and look I'm shooting for. Would you mind sharing the wheel/tire size info, including if you have any lowering springs and/or spacers added please? I'm looking at the AFS Chrome SVT wheels (18x9 & 18x10.5) and know I'll have to replace or shave the rear IRS bolt heads. I appreciate any info, thanks.

Hey man, congrats on the new cobra!

When it comes to getting the perfect stance, there’s a lot of different variables to consider. Such as the size of the wheels (17’s, 18’s), the size of the tire wall (30, 35, 40 series), stock isolators vs aftermarket isolators (thicker) and the drop it self lowering springs or coilovers. Everyone of these things will have an effect on the wheel/fender gap.

My silver cobra had a very basic suspension which consisted of h&r race springs with all the stock isolators left in minus the front top isolator. I installed low profile IRS bolts and had my fenders rolled for peace of mind. I also installed longer ARP wheel studs In the back to run a half inch hub centric spacer (I believe you can run up to a 3/8” without installing longer wheels studs, might look into that). The wheels are staggered 18” afs wheels with toyo proxes sports in the front (275/35/18) and toyo proxes TQ’s in the rear (315/35/18). I’ve ran a lot of different wheel/tire setups and find that 18” wheels are the perfect size for these cars, along with the aforementioned tire sizes above. In fact, I run that tire setup on all my wheels now.

    Good luck brother,

Thanks! Been wanting one for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger before prices get any crazier. Lucked out finding a SB too. She looks good sitting next to my 2019 GT PP2 but my wife is kinda pissed that her car got kicked out of the garage.

I'm with you on the tire/wheel sizes but was less sure about spacers, springs and wheel studs so thanks for filling in the blanks. I'll likely see how it sits on stock springs before addressing those or rolling fenders. Much appreciate the reply and info.

Pretty sweet ride Dog. I'm on SR54 between 56 and the interstate, plenty of places nearby to swap stories over a beer or two. I have a busy holiday weekend planned, will message you after.

Going to the Cars and Coffee at Detail Garage on Fowler this Saturday, its usually a pretty big show with a large variety of cars if you havent been before. Last month there was a 20-something year old with a mostly original Black Terminator that was getting a lot of attention. Won't be bringing mine cause she's sitting on cracking 10 year old tires from the previous owner and don't want to risk a blowout.

A Cobra on the road is a rare sight these days but haven't seen you around town, do you drive her much?

I rarely drive mine. So I haven't had it out much. I'll be down for some cooling upgrades for a little bit but I plan to have it up and running soon. Maybe I'll take it to the cars and coffee before I take it apart.
