It took you a long time to get fat so it will take an equally long time to loose the fat.
All of the drastic change in life style ideas are a huge change and very tough.
Try something simple, like try not drinking any calories. Only that, don't worry about exercise for now. If you see results and get encouraged, try another thing like walking three times a week, etc.
Eventually you will get to the point where you will have a solid gym routine and diet. Going too hard core now will just increase your chances of getting discouraged and throwing in the towel.
