You could have him reflash your PCM, then have a tuner disable the PATS altogether.

Takes 3 things to match , for the pats to let the car start.
Key chip , same as the collar on the ignition (trsnsponder) , and the computer , to recognize the other 2 .
I have never had pats let the car start , then kill it.
Not saying it cant or wont , i just have not had that happen.
If the rail is empty when the car dies , i would still look for a fuel problem .
What was the issueOk I'll be sure to keep that in mind...i was feeling more confident in the pats issue bc of the u1461 cel code
That's what I was saying a couple weeks ago. Is it an AOL4 PCM?currently still unsolved.
replaced the PATS module and programmed a 2nd key...still no progress...thinking the entire PCM went out now since we can't communicate with it at all...so ordered a reman unit and just waiting on it to come in.
replaced the PCM...programmed the keys...fired right up.
So my guess is, disconnecting/reconnecting the battery fried the 21 yr old PCM...?
I may have a solution but expensive solution. Buy a pcm matching your code and buy a Diablo chip and have pats turned off?

Wiring issue?we have tried this, but for some reason the PCMs arent communicating...so we are making one last attempt to get a PCM from a different source other than NAPA. If this doesn't work, then we will attempt to look inside the cluster for issues.
