Unless you are running no t-stat you are a FOOL to run straight water in your street car, regardless of season.

lol @ all of the "well I sure won't be switching to water only", well i guess YOU won't be running then either! rules are rules, if a track says you can't run antifreeze then you better switching to water or finding a different track. unless the place doesn't check in tech, in which case they are morons of course.

It seems thats just a PINKS(d-bag Rich) thing though.. I have NEVER heard of that rule from the tracks Ive gone to(LVD, E-Town, ATCO).

I liked the previous season of Pinks All-out, but this season sucks. I HATE the quick clips of several cars running -- they used to show whole runs of some really interesting cars, now they just show 30 second montages of 10 or 12 cars and you can't really tell what's going on. I liked the build-up to the final 16. Now it's all about blasting through and selecting the 16 by the second commercial break and then showing the same clips over and over as if people can't remember what happened 3 minutes ago before the commercials....

When Rich ran out saying "I'm in the mood for some exercise", this week I cringed. I could put up with his uber-ego when the other people around him were decent and knowledgeable (like Nate), but he's got a squadron of buffoons now.

And yeah, he was way too much of an ass to people that are (were) his fans. And handing out lifetime bans? WTF -- does he really think POA is going to be on TV for 15 or 20 years? Big deal.

I was at a local track here in Jersey (atco raceway) and was talking to Nate Pritchett and his brother. They said they stopped the regular Pinks because nobody would run all out. Of course my buddy asked them if Rich is as big as a douche as he seems on tv. They both smilled and said yea. It was pretty cool talking to them. They confirmed that Rich really doesnt have any knowledge of cars.

whats funny is that Brett Wagner(host of passtime) doesnt know alot about cars either, but you can tell he's trying to learn and has fun while doing it. Just goes to show that you don't have to know everything about cars to be a good host, but you cant be a dick either.

I can understand the safety issue, but don't be a complete ass about it and talk crap to the guy just for having coolant in his car. Rich is such a toolbag, I remember watching Barrett-Jackson a few years ago and he said himself he was never a car guy and didn't know anything about cars, he was a jock. And yet he creates a show about drag racing and acts like he's some racing specialist. I do like Pinks All-Out, but I wish they got a host who was a true car guy.

having said that i have not flushed my cobra when i took it to the track, i believe its more of a rule for track cars that might over heat easier. but a rule is a rule and should be followed by everybody.

Of course it wasnt all out, sandbagging is a part of racing, especially when money/cars are involved. If Rich were a true car guy he'd know that. I like watching some of the guys running, knowing damn well what the car could do, and the other guy wouldnt have a clue. Made it interesting!!

He publicly admitted to knowing damn near nothing about cars when he started. He was that kid in school asking if he could have a ride in your car, in hopes of making his 88 Corrola fast/cool:lol:
