I would pick a coupe over a fastback. Just don't like the roof on the fastbacks.

Love that red coupe above

Agree...anyone see a thread on here or other sites with more pics of that red coupe or any good looking 60s mustang coupes for that matter? Trying to get some ideas for a new build.

I'm obsessed with '65 Ivy Green, survivor, original paint fastbacks with old mags

Some nice cars in here. Just picked up a 65' Fastback, will post up some pictures as soon as I have a chance to clean her up. Solid car, all matching numbers, 4 speed, restored 8 years ago and then parked with 134 miles on it. Just fixing all the dry rotted bushing and stuff now and should have her on the road this week with any luck.

Don't have a fastback but here's my 66 coupe I have been doing. It is minitubbed with a Vortech supercharged 306, backed by a C4. Getting ready to install a 5 speed though( I Think).

^love the coupes.

what kind of carpet is that. where did u buy the carpet

i need to do my trunks in my 67 mustang and 79 formula. wonder if the black carpet that walmart sells in the automotive section would work. its usually for speaker boxes i believe.

Based on the NSFW thread, I decided to leave
Some pics from earlier this year. Unfortunately during a road course track day this year, I was trail braking hard, and spun out. Among a bunch of other problems, I think that the engine ran backwards for a second or two, when I spun out, before I got my foot into the clutch.

SO engine is out with an bunch of problems to sort out, including bent valves and pushrods, etc. Maybe will be back on the road in the spring 2013. Planning a 460-490cu stroker to replaced the 428. We'll see what happens.

I actually got that from Lowes. It matched up really nice with my car.

This is a most excellent example. Same color as my 65. I hope to have it look as nice as yours sometime soon. What brand are those rear quarter window covers? Also, do you have any photos from the front? I would love to see the look without the bumper and the grills you used. Thanks in advance.

This car is a work of art, very nicely done. You have a bad ass ride!

Well, I had a 65 for about two weeks but ditched it for a 69' Mach 1, 428 CJ Ram Air "R" code car. Frame off, nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration. The car is perfect in every way except for needing new trans cables which are on the way. Here are some cell phone photos, will take some good ones tomorrow, hopefully before it is off the lift so you can see how clean it really is. I actually had my expectations exceeded when I bought this car, which NEVER happens to me.

Nice 69 ...I sold a red and white interior drg pack project to get my 65

Thanks! That is a nice 65, love it. I would have liked to have kept mine but having two old cars at once is a money pit that I was not willing to deal with. I am looking at a 67' from the same collection as my 69' and it had the same level of restoration done so I might buy it to use as a driver and use the 69' sparingly. I believe in driving them no matter what so it will never be a trailer queen, but it is a fairly rare car, and fairly valuable, so if I had the 67' which is my favorite year I would drive the heck out of it and use the 69 on really nice days.

Great video, the photos you posted don't even begin to do the car justice or all the work you put into it to make it what it is now. BEAUTIFUL! I love it! Maybe one day I will have a 67 I can do just like that. That is a must have car and was just added to my "bucket list" Extremely nice work!

I test fitted 18x9 Saleens on my 67. they fit fine, just had to use a spacer in the front like most rims do. I couldn't find any pics or info on putting saleens on a classic before though.

Have a few pics from Bradenton during the Spring Break Shootout. The orange fastback is one of the nicest builds I have seen.
