Here is the stock flywheel bolted back up! All torqued to 63 ft lbs as per the Cobra Manual. (I used a post it note to help with the torque sequence)

All this will be getting cleaned throughly with Brake Clean before the disc goes on. As well as all the other clutch components.

What did you expect the stock clutch to look like???

All you do is drive it in and out of the garage.......

That what I like to hear. Hopefully I will feel the same way after installing it.

Yes, get some headers and ldc cooling mod on if you can at the same time.
No headers for me. Never have liked them on a street car, never will. Not completly sold on the cooling mod either.

looks good Kev.....just got around to seeing the pics!
Thanks bro. I need your help to stab the trans now.

nice progress. As always thanks for the detailed write up and pictures.
Any time Ron. Now you see what you are up against.

Sweet deal!

You will not be disappointed with this clutch.
Thanks. I hope I have the same luck you did.

LOL. No. Just a Gen2 Whipple so I can make 2 more lbs of boost without having to add a lower.

Good stuff man.
Thanks.

Ok. So on with the install.

Here is the adapter ring and floater plate assembly.

I used the supplied alignment tool to get things started and installed the first disc.

Next up I bolted the adapter ring and floater plate assembly. Once again using Red Loctite and torquing to spec.

Then I installed the second disc.

Then I installed the Pressure Plate. Here is where I swapped out the plastic tool that comes in the kit to using the actual 26 spline input shaft. (I feel it work better and is more accurate than the plastic tool)

The Pressure Plate slides onto studs on the adapter ring so it is very easy to put into place . Again Red Loctite was used and bolts were torqued to spec.

Finally I got the bellhousing and starter bolted back up. Now all I need is for skaarew04SVT to help me stab the trans and I can finish up. You listening Erik? I may have to buy you Chipotle for once! LOL.

Good call using the input shaft to line it up. I used the plastic alignment tool the first time only because I had already installed my input shaft while I waited for my clutch to show up. I had to remove the input shaft from the trans and use it. The trans went in first time after that.

I just installed the RXT last weekend but haven't driven it yet. Hopefully this weekend I can go for a drive.
