Pikes peak hill climb was so awesome when it was still 2/3rds dirt...
Had to make the setup for the car (and driver had to have the skills) to be able to handle pavement and then dirt...
Still great to watch, but seeing them coming in sideways through the devils playground in the 90's and 00's was amazing.
My uncles best friend was and may still be on the PPIHC committee. He lost a nephew racing up Pikes peak, when he hit a deer. About 20 years ago.
My late uncle Fred's company IFR Systems sponsored a few cars in the 90s.

Brand new C7 Corvette motor....less than 100 miles on it

the "big" line is 42" and the "small" line is 36"
but.....the limitation on them isn't the pipe diameter (they already had the existing piping and wanted us to use it), it's the pump curve.
5 total pumps, 2 for each lineup and 1 swing.
each motor is 1100hp powered by a 4kv siemens vfd (5 drives in a 20 x 30 mcc room with 200 ton water cooled air conditioner system)
i just got off the plane and made it home.
total load time for 1.2 million barrels? 4 days (delays due to ship, coast guard, lazy ass production crew taking their sweet time to line up the tanks....)

The nice thing about gals like Jamie (hot and stupid) is that if you accidentally give her your real name, etc., she likely won't remember it anyway.
