Come on guys, anyone who knows anything about cars knows those numbers don't match up. It's 850hp in a 3800lb car. Yes, 3800lb's is a lot of weight, but this car should be running high 10's AT LEAST. Something happened during these tests. Maybe they forgot to turn the supercharger on? lol idk.

Lol maybe they launched in reverse?:lol1:

Looking at the time-to-speed numbers, I think two things were happening. 1) The driver wasn't exactly speed shifting; look at the time differential at [what I estimate to be] the shift points. 2) Timing was definitely being pulled. Heat soak was probably the issue. They probably should've used a 4" pulley instead of that 3.78". Revving the engine out to 7400 is going to be producing some serious heat in the air charge.

A larger pulley and a slightly more aggressive tune might result in some impressive dividends. A 3.9 0-60 and a 12.3@116 1/4 don't really go together. This car is barely any quicker than a '07 GT500 with 100+ lbs more weight and 350 less HP.

Maybe than the did the 1/4 testing after running it on the road course? Something was definitely wrong, as it's barely edging out a stock S550 GT in 1/4 and trap.

eh, i think it needs more power to compensate for the lack of chassis tuning, suspension and traction issues. :smmon:

this is a complete fail and the price is absurd. A gt350r, at less than 1/2 the price, would use this new ss as a pylon.

This!

$55K for 750hp? Claimed to be actually 850hp. 12.3 @ 116? :dw: No thanks! That is crazy. I guess when you get 42 Shelby tags on your car you have to pay dearly for all of them. LOL. So out the door you're looking at $100K minimum. I agree that a GT350R or even a modded GT-350 would be one hell of a better choice. Price wise. Performance wise.

Come to think of it, has any Super Snake been worth a damn in the 1/4? I don't think they've ever put up times/traps that match the claimed HP.

There is obviously something wrong with that setup, seems to have all the right parts, the article did say the car was not running correctly, very obvious by the numbers it put down.

I actually like the car looks damn good (Hood may be a little to much) but cant see paying 100k for a Mustang oops Super snake
