On one hand, laws which violate individual private property rights aren't valid, regardless the mere human opinion of any member of any branch of government.
On the other, we are talking about a law that only applies on shared public property (eg: roads) where it's understood that cooperative compromises must be made to coexist effectively when sharing that property. For example, just because you can make your stereo as loud as you want doesn't mean you can sit on a public street blasting 150 dbs next to a school, home, or business. Same goes for other actives which cause influence beyond your own proximity such as exhaust, noise, pollution, smoking, not bathing, etc.

i had an officer pull me over at 2 am saying she heard me "getting on it" and was going to write me a ticket for exibition driving, i was pollite and said that well maybe i did get on it a lil (i didnt), but yet i didnt want tell her that i had an off road x and straight though mufflers because she would have popped me for that,

I don't recall being invited to participate in any discussion regarding what I could do with my vehicle or giving my representatives permission to do so.
It was "illegal" for blacks to sit on the bus. Get my drift? Legal and illegal is not synonymous with right and wrong. Blindly following something because "it's the law" is recipe for disaster, vs. following a law that is right and should be common sense and not even need to be a law (eg: no stealing).
Kalifornia is talking about banning black cars too. It's unenforceable. Unlike Iran where 100,000 unarmed civilians can be scared away and squelched by 100 armed police, things are different in the USA.

I had a state trooper, who lived on the corner of my street, who demaded I drive home from the other end of the street so he didn't have to hear my car. He threatened to "make my life miserable" or "make the car disappear" if he had to put up with it much longer. I did have a O/R exhaust with flowmasters, so I wasn't legit. There's a lot more to the story.....but the bottom line was I started coming home from the other end of the street...but the day after I moved out of that neighborhood he got the lawn-job of a lifetime....so I've been told. ;-)

Put on cats and a Flowmaster or Magnaflow system, and some 4.56's in the rear end.
Then, make sure to warm your car up everyday following the same procedure they use for the Mazda 787B :

After your car has a good solid 15-20 minutes of revs to come up to temperature, proceed to exit your neighborhood at a healthy 5,000 RPMs to make sure the oil is thoroughly heated.

Thanks from the supporters. I am just going to weld in high flow cats and get it inspected by emissions and local police. Once it passes, I'm going to tape the results to his door.

In the meantime, just push in the clutch and let it idle coming and going anywhere near his house....
You need to get a cheap set of rims with some diffrent tires than you have on your car, wait for him to go to work, put them on, go light um up in front of his house or in his driveway then swap your rims back, when he accuses you tell him that thats not your tread pattern,

Your car must be really loud or something? Seems like maybe he's not an unreasonable person after all with that last statement. He may have been a dick in the way he initially presented himself, but he's being pretty lenient with you as far as actual action goes. :shrug:
