So I had Dyno Mat (will never do again) in the trunk and wanted to remove it..wish i took pictures prior to removal but what a pain...took me almost 50hrs just to clean the trunk...This had a lot of steps but the end result was good. Heat gunned the mat off followed by completely wire wheeling , scrubbing with paint remover, followed by turpentine , followed by soap annd water, followed by 90% rubbing alcohol then sprayed.
This gives u a example of what was left over after removing the mat and tar crap. A horrible stain.

Nice! Looks like it's going well so far! Looking forward to see the progress! What made you go with an iron block though?

gonna be a killer build, your build sounds like mine but a bit more aggressive.

the on3 crossover delete is awesome for adding clearance around the procharger idler bolt and dealing with the tensioner/belt...otherwise that bypass hose is right in the damned way and annoying as hell.

with the BRRV - you might consider putting it somewhere other than on that first pipe off the blower. Problem with putting it where procharger would mount the little proflow valve is its gonna blow all the dirt on the road up into the engine bay, annoying as hell.

damnit, there was something else I was gonna tell you but my laptop ate the post and now I forget what it was

Thanks for the heads up on the on3 kit. As for the big red i plan on getting it as close to the ic as possible.. most likely on the bend. I figured there it would be sucked into the bumper which would keep air swirling around the bay.

dont flame but im not sure about the exterior color so I dipped it my 1st choice, Matte Red. Im going to hit it a few colors just to be sure on what i want ...i rather waste a couple hundo on a few colors vs thousands on 1 color and not be satisfied. Dont ind the over spray as those wheels wont be on the car.

I really hated how the upper manifold cover was textured so i smoothed it out and painted cast iron w/satin clear. i did leave the smog spots on just incase. Added a new cobra plate of course

I'm pretty tired, baby has kept me up all night but that appears to be a Teksid block. Thought you was going iron? Either way, build looks sweet.
Good observation.... guess i failed to mention i decided to use my teskid after all.I thought it would be stupid not too so i sold off all the iron block hardware and took the machine shop loss. Felt at that point whats 300 bucks
