Keeping the car in my warehouse as it has good room to work in. When its nice i push it out to do work...
what she looks like now. I lost control last winter on the freeway and kissed the way, therefore the badgeless fender and gt bumper. Just wanted to get it back on the road:
Disassemble :
Engine out first right? By myself and was able to snap a few lol
So this was my fuel lines.. Guess the prior owner decided....idk wtf he decided.
Front end all cleaned up
So I had Dyno Mat (will never do again) in the trunk and wanted to remove it..wish i took pictures prior to removal but what a pain...took me almost 50hrs just to clean the trunk...This had a lot of steps but the end result was good. Heat gunned the mat off followed by completely wire wheeling , scrubbing with paint remover, followed by turpentine , followed by soap annd water, followed by 90% rubbing alcohol then sprayed.
This gives u a example of what was left over after removing the mat and tar crap. A horrible stain.
But the after
Engine bay being prepd.. ALOT of time on the grinder with a wire wheel.
...Old core out
New in and sealed
Making sure the New hood, bumper and core all line up good...NOTE..the hood was not fully shut
Rockers off..tons of damage under there...Im half way through that project. Ill post more on that later.
This is what was holding 1 side one
Just some parts waiting to go in. Dropped the Heads off for work and will be taking the short block stuff in end of may
Nice 3 core
HUGE IC
Sweet Upper Torque mounts..Ill show u the stock ones later
The good stuff....
Re-Doing all my harnesses.. Will post more o that later. Here is a idea pic.
Got bored and decided to clean up my mufflers
ALOT more to come. Will post up more this weekend...
P.S. Not bad for post #1000!!!!
