what is this?

While doing the hood slam fix (works great!), I found this tag hanging in front of the radiator. Any idea what it is, and why it would be hanging there?

Not sure it's purpose but yea I removed the same thing a few years ago.maybe it held something in the paint process mine was red!

Yup same here had a white one. Still removed it but kept it in the tool box. I'm assuming it was just a color tag from the factory.

I had one too. Removed it. If left there, it would be clanking around while you drive.

I believe that's referred to as a buck tag. Keep it if you're interested in any documentation of your vehicle for future reference.

Thanks for the link. I will have to do mine. Have to drop it from two feet twice to get it to latch

Yep, I'll be keeping mine too. Btw, hood slam--i didn't have to remove the whole latch, just the torx head bolt, and slid the washer under.

Yea I haven't seen this. Damn, I just fired her up too.....I guess in 2 or so weeks when I do it again I'll pop the hood and take a peak.
