I'd have to say mine is when I took my L to a local cobra/mustang shop in NC to get exhaust work done. Come to find out a week after I took it there it was a chop shop, the guy that owned it was not returning my calls so I stopped by and my L was luckily outside, he took my keys, and a couple of my tools but everything else was ok. I feel bad for the guy that owned a red 2002 lightning they were trying to pull the engine and replace it with a 4.6 and sell his 5.4, also a 1969 dodge charger from California that was there i guess in "storage"completely stripped. I was lucky to get away with a tow to the dealership for new keys.

My worst thing about owning a lightning i guess, would be random jealous people that vandalize it parked in parking lots.
- lit cigs thrown on my tonneu
- beer bottles chucked at it
- pop poured all over it
- dukes of hazzard slide across the hood
edit.. i think i spend more money on keeping it looking good cosmetically vs modding it

When I had my 01 I was entering the freeway and stood on it.
She took off and was running strong when I heard a huge bang.
I thought I blew it up. :nonono:

I shut it off and pulled to the side of the freeway. Popped the hood and started looking for a problem. Everything looked fine.

I got back in and fired it up. Same loud noise. Looked under the hood and there was a coil pac and skark plug bouncing around.

Was fixed under warranty and back on the road in 1 week.

I'm surprised you didn't say, "when billy put his hands in it."

He did a good job on the engine in my black 04. But a shit job on my trans.
His customer service, thieving and full blown lies to customers was bullshit.

As many people as he burned I'm truly surprised he didn't get his ass stomped.:nonono:

I have to agree about selling the Lightnings. Worst thing was selling our 99,01 Ls and 03 HD. Seemed like good ideas at the time but it didnt take long to want them back.

having to pull my built motor because of a shattered valve guide, built motor originally costed $8100,now its costing me another $3850,so we are shy of $12000 in this motor so far. When i bought the motor i figured it would last for a very looooong time, only to have a issue 4700 miles later.
