Dynotech all the way! I've been up to 140mph with 0 vibrations, smooth as silk.

DSS aluminum drive shaft installed today, very easy install, no vibrations and not much noisier than stock. Pinion angle is set at -2° and I'm lowered on hotchkis springs

I don't know of I could change my vote, but my DSS aluminum driveshaft just failed after ~500 miles, the rear bearing failed. Car is my DD. Pinion angle was at -2, measured distance was 3.625, within spec. I never went above 90mph, and hadn't really accelerated very hard since having it installed

I am in the same boat here. Just googled searches for random experiences with DS. Found this thread here. I am currently shopping for a DS as one of my final mods. Now, DynoTech or SHAFTMASTER is the question? :( And after reading these pages, I see both have very satisfied customers. Thanks for making it even MORE difficult...lmao!

Anyone know the weight difference between these 2?

I received a RMA# and sent it back to be repaired. I did plenty of research and didn't read of any failures, must of been made on a Monday

They have had some issues with the CV joint disintegrating. A few owners have posted this. Mine sounded bad as soon as I installed it.
I sent mine back rather than go thru the diagnostic back and forth scenario. Shipping costs are retarded from Canada to the States.
No complaints about their customer service.

Just got back from my initial spring shakedown run. The Shaftmasters driveshaft is an excellent addition. No noise, clunks or vibration that I could notice. A 180* reversal of my last 1 piece driveshaft experience. I bought this one during the winter when they were on sale. I called David at Shaftmasters and asked if he could defer the 30 day warranty because of the brutal f'ing Winter we were having. He postdated the start date to May 1st.
Stand up guy, great product.

DSS carbon fiber driveshaft here. Had it for ~2,500 miles on lowered suspension and not a single problem!

Pulled the trigger and SHAFTMASTERS ordered last week! Should get it soon and will be installed before or by the weekend. Immediately following install, I will be battle testing it at Showtime Drag Strip May 24th. More to follow on my review or impressions of the shaft I chose.

When you guys installed your DSS did you re-use these spanner washers in the photo below? The stock driveshaft has these at the rear.

I would not go with Shaftmasters. I have seen a few split with only 600 RWHP.

Larry Larson runs a Dynotech driveshaft in his 5 second truck. Looks like that would be my choice.

(Example of Shaftmasters failure)
