Update: I was working on a deal for a whippled C7Z that fell through then stumbled on to another built C7Z that got bought literally while I was talking to the guy on the phone. The same guy has another built C7Z on the way that I will check out when it comes in. Also eyeing a H/C/I C6Z that I would be very happy with. C7Z has pole position, followed by C6Z and ZL1 1LE.

I saw red with black wheels. It was ugly and looked cheap. GM better class it up with the Z06.

just saw my first C8 in person the other day. it was smurf blue and cheap looking was my exact feeling. and i also said i hope they make it look a lot better with the Z.

I have yet to see a C8 in person, but with the right set of wheels, they can look pretty darn nice.

If you are comparing them to a Ferrari/McLaren they look cheap.. the few I've seen look really good considering their msrp and compared to a C7

Yeah, that's part of it. I don't like it at all.
I think it's the skinny, pointy front end and fat sides/fat squished rear end. Plus, it's like a copy and paste of Ferrari/Lamborghini. I like the color, that's about it. lol

I am hoping the upper models of the c8 will be much better looking, if I'm honest I didn't like the c7 stingray either...but they've got their work cut out for em

This is what I am hoping for too. Base model c7s look weak but the zr1 gets me rock hard.
Yeah man, the lady’s dad had a callaway C6, a C7 Z06, and now a C7 ZR1. I’ve loved every single one of them, just would’ve chosen a manual in each(and gladly been a little slower). Absolute ****ing rockets though.

If corvette puts out anything looking like the C8.R and it actually revs like it too...well, may hafta save some monies up. That is how a FPC is supposed to rev, not the GT350 slow rev especiale

With all that high end stuff, kinda crazy he didn’t know the difference between forgeline and forgestar though lol.
I always wonder why so many owners will drop $50k on parts under the hood but cheap out on something as important as wheels.

Thanks man, this is helpful. How is heat soak with your C7Z set up? Also would you get A8 or M7?

i dont get on here very often, so the response is a little late. A8 all the way. heat soak was the difference between a 6.90 and 6.50 1/8th, 20 minutes between passes and car running in the stages lanes for 10 or so minutes.

I just picked up something new. H/C/I Billy Boat headers and Corsa exhaust. It is nasty as ****. It came down between this and a built c7z z07. There is something about the c6 and ls7 that really grabs me. I wanted a raw experience and the c7 is too refined. This one feels like I went back in time a little bit. My wife hates it which probably means I made the right decision.
