Definitely thanks guys. I watched the snakebite video like 20 times last night. It's such a nasty car. I can't wait to get her tuned

I just read some other threads on other forums about mustang magic that said negative things how the people were rude and made it seem like you were doing them a favor and weren't rubbed the right way. Anyone have this issue? From this site I haven't heard any bad things about them.

You are going to see haters about any tuner. Call Joe and talk to him.. That is the only best way to decide. You are going to get pulled all over the place listening to opinions on the internet.

I've never had Kevin @ Wicked tune my car, but he helped me tremendously with a few issues I had tuning my own car. The dude had me e-mail him data logs and helped me trouble shoot some things. FOR FREE. He was right too.

On various vehicles I've delt with Lund, RWTD, Lasota, Bama. Lasota was/is also a pleasure to deal with.

Honestly, you are going to hear good and bad things about everyone. That is a byproduct of the intrawebs. YOU need to talk to the tuners and pick the one that gives you the warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

Jim@JDM called him a crook and a newbie, but he said that pretty much about every tuner on the entire planet. While I was working for him, my car had ATS stickers on the quarter windows. :D

Ill put MM's fastest car against ANYTHING JDM has EVER built...JDM had a customer come to a dyno day with a 535rwhp JDM dyno sheet...it made 487rwhp on MM's dyno in COOLER weather, and the tune was shit lean, he paid MM to fix it on the spot and left with 505rwhp, YEA JDM fudges their HP #'s...I said it!!! JDM is GARBAGE, i wouldnt let him tune my lawn mower.

Im not going to say they will throw you a parade or roll out the red carpet, but they will answer any intelligent questions you have and let you watch them work on the tune, its just like if you were at your job trying to work...u want to get it done right and earn your money while doing a good job. Also if you want a race tune u need to bring your own fuel and dont come in with a full tank of 93, lol...they hate that...haha.

I hear ya, I wasn't trying to have the carpet rolled out but I just got rubbed the wrong way. I am just doing a street tune so I won't have to worry about that lol. Thanks for the input.

At no point did I say I disagree with this.
I worked for them, there is a reason that word is past tense.

If all you're interested in is a cookie cutter tune than certainly you could go anywhere. If you're looking for a tune....from someone who treats your car like it's their own......at a great price.....in the fastest way they're capable of.....it's Rick and Linn at Amazon.
^^after talking with both linn and rick on several occassions, i chose them. kurgan is closer, but felt comfortable from day one's conversation.
right now, still in process of working out bugs but that's common with initial tune. looking forward to getting dialed in.............700 club here i come!

Wasn't directed at anyone in peticular, just stating facts that I was witness to and apparently you know just how Shitty that place is after working there.

A few years ago I went to LaRoccas with my blown/stroked 88 LX and got ass-raped. They were using the guys name and that was about it. $600 spent and I had to retune the car myself later. What pieces of shit those guys were.

Just my .02

Any reviews on VMP? They are about 2hrs from me.

In the near future I'll be adding a JLT intake to my cobra (already have a mac o/r h and flowmaster c/b). Would an email tune work or should I bring it do the dyno? Not sure if bringing it to the dyno would be needed do to the simplicity of my mods (i.e. not pullied).

Justin at VMP has been my tuner for the last 3 years and has been great to deal with and fyi, I'm three hours from him. He has answered everyone of my questions and concerns. I'm running one of his canned tunes in my 08 GT and a dyno tune in my Whipple'd Mach 1. The email tune is spot on with drivability and power, I'd recommend at least throwing it on the dyno if you go that route just verify everything and make revisions where necessary.

Here's my Mach 1's dyno sheet:

582whp / 554tq in 92 degree weather and 55% humidity. Car has great drivability, power is smooth and no weird hiccups.

VMP have a very good reputation - I've never used him, but would not hesitate to do so if I was close to him, based on his rep

theres a guy i'm pretty sure he is on here but dont know what he goes by. His name is Brian Young i've talked to him and he is verry knowledgeable. He is a former ford powertrain development engineer with over 10 years of calibrating for ford. He has a pretty sick termi and tuned a termi for a buddy of mine after he let Anderson ford motorsports screw it up. His website is Brian's Sonic Mach1
