According to this article, the best et obatined by a mag was 12.25 and the best quater mile trap was 117mph. If I had to guess which mag was capable of those numbers it had to be MM&FF.

You are Correct! 12.20 at 117 mph. I'm 100% positive.

Well, first if you didn't know who he is, how do you know he's an expert driver? (Maybe because others told you he was) Second, do you know who's driving for the other mags? Third, you want to fire C&D and R&T's driver(s) because they didn't get the results you are dying to see. Fourth, how do you know what you would do in a 500 HP car, if you don't have one? Why can't you just wait and see. Then you're all over an article by SVTOA, just because it's numbers are what you wanted all along. Don't you think that SVTOA has an interest in posting great numbers? Me, I'll just wait and see what the cars does, then we'll all know whats up.

Like i said before dumbass if he is test driving cars in a magazine then he must be considered an expert car driver or why else would they hire him to test drive cars comeon dumbass you can do better then that. And no i dont know who is driving for the other magazines and i dont care if they pull times as high as that for an 500hp car then they cant drive ask anyone if they can do better times then 12.9 and 13.1 in a 500hp car they will tell you yes everyone knows they had the traction on wakeup and smell the coffee junior. And sure i can do better then a 12.9 and 13.1 in a 500hp car know how i know cause the 500hp truck did low 13s and is alot more heavier who is this dumbass? And the numbers speck for there self 12.2 in the quarter if you havent been reading thats what magazines have been doing seeing what the car does why you think they hire people to test drive the cars not to sit on there ass all day. Have you ever thought to consider the drastic differences in gearing, weight distribution, and power curve between the Ferrari and the Shelby? The GT500 could run a lot slower, or it could run a lot faster. How about we just wait and see before continuing to spew the same tired information, over and over?

Here's an idea....

In the small amount of time that it will take for these cars to reach consumers for real-world testing, how about taking a few grammar and typing classes? It's a win-win situation! We'll all have better information to work from, and you might write something that everyone can read and understand.

You do realize that many of these so-called "experts" are nothing more than a writer with a media pass?

I said many... not all. You need to know the difference between things like many/all, does/can, etc. This car has not gone 11s; with gears or not. Your basing fact from a random statement made by a magazine writer who happens to be one hell of a driver. Does that mean that it won't run 11s with gears? Not at all. It means that no such thing has happened, yet, so there is no point in saying that it does or doesn't.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm done with your illegible and tiring arguments. I will keep an eye peeled for your next review of whatever subscriptions your father has coming to the house.

Complete stock to include stock wt. No... I don't think we'll be seeing any low 12's in a complete stock form. Now change the tune and get some wt off of the beast and I'd say yes. But in complete stock form... I'll say it won't get any better than a 12.6 on a good day.... That's a very generous number as well. I'd say more like a 12.8 but I'm no guru on the matter. That's just a stab @ what I think the car will do.

word is evan smith just ran a 12.25 @ 117.....usually he gets pretty much the lowest #s possible out of mustangs (he ran an 03 12.3x @ 114ish). All these threads overlap, lets merge.

FYI...he went [email protected].
However, MM&FF and Evan Smith also tested the '03/'04 Cobra in several other issues in addition to the single one where it went the 12.43. From what I recall, the next quickest pass they made in a stock '03 was 12.67. They went a few .6's, .7's and .8's in them.
Don't bet the farm that this 12.2 at Milan is the quickest they'll get out of a stock GT500. Wait until fall, in some cool northeastern air to see what one will run in similar conditions at the same track.

anything is possible with any car and a great driver, with great conditions....

ranger may be seeing 10s in a stock Z this fall after some more practice.

Ranger has hundreds of passes in his stock C5Z.
He's still .3 away (FYI...the car went 11.2 on DR's, not stock rubber). He may make it, he may not. He gets those times at Cecil, and other sea level tracks.
For sake of argument, say a competent driver ran a GT500, in optimal conditions, at Cecil, to an 11.9@118-119mph (and I'm not claiming it will or will not happen). Would you really consider that to be a slaughter?
Honestly, I wouldn't.

127 mph to 119mph, 11.3-11.9.... That's bus lengths in the real world, however at a track, with e.t., as we all know, everything truly is dependent on traction....but if every .1 =a car length, or more as speeds rise....yea, that's a beating, as far as how far one gets pulled by the other, however less bad than the real world.

Ranger's at 11.3 ALL stock on the C6 Z......and a c5z and c6z are different animals, he'll tell you that. Will he get to 10s? Who knows...it'll take some work.....but on dr's? I'd say likely, eventually.
