Problem solved.

What people don't realize is that it's more efficient to make the energy where you use the energy.
Half the electricity made is lost in transit to the homes and then again lost transferring from home to car battery.
You are just moving the "pollution" up the supply chain.
Also, almost everything we use is made from petroleum, so oil drilling will remain a thing.
More interesting will be, what do we do with the excess gasoline and diesel when processing petroleum into usable products?
100 years ago diesel was a byproduct of gas and kerosene production. Diesel would just be dumped or burned off.
Technology is going to have to evolve quickly to tackle this issue and more before the country commits to go solid Green. JMO.
I hope they realized by now they are just wasting their time.Dont worry, the propagandists for the liberals will somehow blame this on Trump. Expect impeachment 3.0 because of this.
Because this is our WW2 and we will all die in 10 years if it doesn't happen.I'm still waiting for the answer to this, "WHY" must fossil fuels be phased out?
50% conversion.I don't disagree that distributed generation (close to the source of use) is a good path forward for the future, but....
There is not a 50% loss of electricity due to transmission and distribution...not even close. It is more like 5% lost to transmission and distribution.
Many stations have back up generators to power the pumps.Unless you have barrels of gas, pumps at the gas station need electricity to be able to pump the gas out of the underground tank.
The ideal setup is to have solar panels to draw power from the sun, use that to charge your car. Gas requires supply lines to constantly replenish (talking about gas stations).

Your solar panels aren't going to do shit in overcast snowy conditions and you'll be up on your roof dusting them off.
Do research on solar panels, my friend has solar panels and hasnt had to clean them in 3 years. They also dont have to pay electricity in some months. I also wouldnt live in a snowy place. This forum loves to shit on cali, but they live in a frozen thundra... okay. lolMany stations have back up generators to power the pumps.

luckily we live in a place theres no snow.pretty sure hes referring to removing the snow from them.
"Howd you end up with a broom up your ass and a broken neck?"
"I fell off the roof cleaning the snow off my solar panels"
50% conversion.
You spend energy digging, compiling and shipping coal.
You spend energy converting coal into energy.
You spend energy moving electricity to house.
You spend energy moving house electricity to charger to charge a battery.
You spend energy building battery
You spend energy moving electric from battery to motor.
Motor spends energy to move tires and propel vehicle.
