what doesnt add up? I make full boost before 3k up until 5k. My car trapped 120 at 16lbs and now i am running between 18 and 20lbs, so i am probably in the mid to upper 120's.

A "slow" zx9 will run upper 130's in the quarter and my '94 put down 139 hp at the wheel, the '98s are the quickest and are good for 140+ in the quarter, so you must have raced a putz...

The MVAgusta doesn't put out that much. It's quoted vs. Real. It's maybe 160ish to the wheel and geared taller than the Ninja.

the ZX9s ran 10.20s in the quarter all day. Kawis are known for being fast.
ok so if that bike makes 160 to the wheel that is going to be slower than the ninja I ran like you said? How can 160hp be slower than 124 hp. The ninja I ran was probably a 94 or 95 which has 124 hp.

Gearing, aerodynamics, powerband. The Ninja also has Ram-Air, which accounts for more horse @ speed, which the dyno cannot record.

It's faster than the MV. The MV is not a quick bike. It's not meant to be. I gaurantee that bike makes over 124 at the wheel. Even at that, it would still have the power to weight ratio to eat you.

Ok if those bikes are mid to upper 130s than the guy sucked, but I know he was going all out when he was racing me. You guys are talking 1/4 times from a stop not from a 65mph roll like how we raced. I would say my car is close to a 130 trap with 20psi.

Well for you doubters out there he raced the guy from a roll not from a light so why couldn't he outrun the bike. You have to figure that the bike's gearing might give him a huge disadvantage against a Mustang with a turbo and 3.08 gears because most bikes minus the likes of the Hyabusa aren't top end demons.

Hey Orr I think you are confusing turbo's with Centrifugal blowers. Turbo's are far superior on the street and have no issues with making max power below 5k if matched to be the right size.

StangJason well said. That is what I thought as well that most bikes dont have that great top end power. Also I am not saying this guy was the best rider and my car is the fastest but he was all decked out in his motorcycle gear and he was about 150lbs. He gave me props and all three of those guys did not want to run after I beat him.

The ZX9 topped out at 172. Sorry, you'd lose. You guys can keep talking this crap, but numbers don't lie.

A guy in a 600HP Cobra had a series of races against bikes and came to the conclusion that you need at least 650HP to keep up with a 600.

Any 900cc bike of 92-up vintage would eat you alive.

Well I dont know anything about bikes so you are probably right, but how hard is it to drive a bike from a roll? Every other post about someone racing a bike is "the guy didnt know how to drive". Is it any different than changing gears in a car and pressing the gas down? Well I guess it doesnt matter but the end story is that I stomped this guy and he gave me props for it be it good or bad driver.

Most guys are in the wrong gear. They don't know how to ride or are afraid of backshifting too much and wheelying. A bike like that will not come up so easy. A lot of guys who own literbikes don't know how to ride them for shit.

true^ the rider makes a big difference

i do believe 650rwhp is about right to hang with a stock newer 600cc bike

i know a vid with a turbo fox body that ran a 636 honda bike with a pipe and he hung well for awhile.. he had 450rwhp or so

a 881rwhp viper ran a stock busa and only caught him at 150mph or something way up there

Another Jersey brotheren. Welcome man! I used to live in North Haledon, Right by Franklin Lakes/Wycoff. I live in wayne now. Yea 287 is an awesome highway to run on out here, you should go down to Bunker Hill and make some money with that thing, I know of a couple 600's that would like to lose some money!

Sweet car btw.

Hey man I own 3 bikes and I believe you. I have a 98 R1, 00 R6, and 03 GSXR 750. At 65 hey could have tried to pull you in 4th or downshifted to slow after you got the jump already. There will always be non believers.

I've come to the conclusion that a bike may be able to run 10's from the factory but 99% of the riders out there will never come close to that number. My friends with 600cc bikes were pulling mid to high 11's at the track at best. I'm sure it's just like any other vehicle at the track that your 60ft's will make or break you, only with a bike your going to have to focus on keeping the front end down with your launch which is going to make it all the more difficult.

I raced a 600cc last week. He wanted to race from a roll so he wouldn't have to deal with the launch so we went from 20mph. I figured I would take him on the low end and he would pull past me as we got going but it was the exact opposite.

On the same day a stock Viper SRT-10 went 12.5@116, the MV turned 10.4@141. Define "quick".

Thank you. Maybe he was in the wrong gear but his bike squated and his front end came up and his head was down when he got on it.

Either way, I don't think anyone here was saying you don't have a fast car so it's all good
