Well it's a Cobra so obviously Snake oil.

Seriously though search, this topic has been beaten to death. A lot of times it just comes down to personal preference. I've used RP and Mobil 1 in past cars, and I just made the switch to Amsoil signature series 0W-20 in the Cobra. I think at the end of the season I'll send in a sample to get analyzed.

M1 for me. Never tried RP but never heard anything bad about it so it much be good stuff. I say pick one of the two and stick with it. Maybe go with the cheaper one. So long as its synthetic you really can't go wrong IMO.

I like to drain all the oil out first. Then let it run for about 20 minutes to get all the junk oil out. Then refill with the good stuff. I put 2 stroke oil with a carefull mix of 69% fuel and 33% oil.

Yes that is 102%. But I like to overfill just a little bit.. 2% to be exact...............

sounds like some pretty damn good oil you are using, if you are able to drain all of the oil...then let it run for 20minutes, with no issues. perhaps i need to look into this method...and brand of oil, as well. *said w/sarcasm*

edit: oh...and what brand of 2 stroke oil would you reccommend for our supercharged 4.6?

Well, You cant use Lowes because they sponser Jimmy Johnson with a Chevy, so that wont work in our Fords. You cant use Home depot because they sponser Toyotas..

So it would have to be ACE hardware 2 stroke oil. Cheaper the better actually because they have 999,999 parts per million of falseforus..

Tell them I. C. Weiner sent ya!

consider it DONE.

i will also make sure to come make a thread to post my results, later tonight, after i get done with the new preferred method of changing the oil...along with my thoughts, and personal opinions on the preferred 2 stroke ACE hardware oil.

thanks for all of your help!

edit: doh! i ALMOST forgot...i just wanna make sure im doing this right. after draining the oil...does it HAVE TO run for 20min? or can i just run it until the temp gauge says the car/engine is warmed up?

thanks again!
