I am growing to hate the stock knob in my Terminator.

I know there are numerous options out there for all different prices.

I would appreciate a veterans opinion on this subject considering I have only owned the car 4 months and am starting the modding this week.

Thanks fellas.

This:

CLASSIC SHIFTER KNOB, WHITE – 6-SPEED, MUSTANG | Hurst Shifters :: Automatic Shifters, Manual Shifters, Paddle Shifters, Shifter Knobs and Handles

Fat ball shifter acts like a heim joint not needing to bend your wrist and feels "correct" no matter how you grab it
(no road racer would want to be caught without one)

White: first thing that catches the corner of your eye when looking for it

Plastic: won't soak-up heat like a sponge in the hot sun like aluminum will and burn your hand :coolman:

If there is a better shifter knob I haven't found it.

That white hurst is badass. Love the plain but clean look of it.

Awesome guys, thank you for your input on such a small item.

But it is surprising how much it makes a difference. If your grabber hand is not happy then it messes your whole damn ride it seems like.

Even the stock shift knob is awkward if you don't grab it right :nonono:

MGW Composite all the way. My buddy has one on his terminator and I loved it when I drove it. Once I got my car that was one of the first mods I did to the car.

I always liked my black Fat Knob, but I don't think they're in business any longer. The website is gone. MGW has some nice knobs and they're well made. I would start with MGW.

I have a small upr billet knob with a flat top, I love it! The stocker would tighten too far and not sit straight so I got a round one with no markings on it, can't go wrong.

I loved the white knob with black rally stripes and cobra on the sides. It was on the speed dawg site. I was going MGW myself after installing their shifter. But I really like this other one now. Anyone using those knobs here?

I prefer the stock one myself. I tried a roush shift knob which is like the steeda round grip ones. Didn't care for it and now it sits on a shelve.

what DONT you like about the stocker? is it looks? how it feels? err wha?

personally, i like the looks of the stocker...if i ever did change it out, i would prob go with the "fu©kin fast" shifter/knob...even though it basically looks just like the stocker. haha.

im sure you have seen those, havent you? dont like those either?

Lots of options here.....

I want one with no marking on it because the stock one never seems to stay straight.

I am probably going with the Hurst or a black Ford oval one....

Thank you guys.

Good thread..

The stock one looks the best but it has plastic inserts that brake after a few hard shifts & just spins around! You need A 2" ball with A locking jam nut
