I didn't realize that was Amzoils company. I think I'd rather have an independent lab do the testing that has no affiliation with any motor oil manufacturers.

Anybody ever try schaffers 9000 5w-50 oil seems reasonably priced
After reading all this I feel like such an idiot for using the Motorcraft spec oil :burnout: I am just about to hit 2k on the odometer and I first changed at 1K. What do you recommend?
According to this chart and table ... I believe 12.82 cSt is at the low end of a 40 grade oil (12.50-16.29 cSt) ... just an observationOnce again, look at the cSt@100*C (12.82). THAT'S TERRIBLE!!! THIS WAS ONLY A 30 WEIGHT OIL AT ONLY 6,000 MILES OF USE!!! UNACCEPTABLE SHEARING!!! The oil spec'd cSt@100*C at 21.0 (virgin analysis). This is the second sample that has proven that the FoMoCo 5W-50 is an inferior product and should be avoided at all costs.

I received a reply from Summit today ... they cannot order the Red Line 5W50.Summit sells Red Line products but they don't seem to carry the 5W50 weight. I inquired with Summit by email to see if they can get it.
I've been running the Mobil 1 15W-50 for the last 22,000 miles. 28,000 on the car now. Unfortunately, I just changed the oil, but next go around, I will send it in and get it tested. Until then, the spec sheet is here Mobil 1 15W-50 and I'd like to get your opinion on the specs Unleashed...
As noted above Jegs does have the Redline 5W/50 in stock. Quarts are $10.99 and Gallons are $42.99 each. Says it ships today.
