Got some time to work on it this weekend. Just need to figure out how I'm going to weld the mount in. Think I'll bring the tin down and make it so I can adjust it all in the car. If I make it so I can adjust all underneath, not sure I can keep the back seat without lots of modification. We'll see. Hopefully make the panhard tomorrow so I can take this damn thing off the rack. Plated the front mount with 1/4 instead. The frame has a huge reverse dome right there and didn't want there to be any chance of bending that plate. I hope this thing 60's like a mother. This was a bit of work :bash:

Racist !:lol1: Yeah, got some painting to do for sure. Need to finish welding up quite a bit before I do though. Hopefully get somewhere on the anti roll bar or panhard today. Gearing up for another full restore and building more kits. So it's been on the back burner for a bit waiting for parts as well.

Looks like its ready for paint, powder coat and chrome. My stuff is almost done. I ended up with no chrome. I just bought a big ass Baldor buffer. More work for me. Hey looks killer. You shouldn't leave that caliper hanging like a caveman would though.

Perhaps you can make a antiroll bar like the one that is a direct bolt in as had on the CJ kit made by teamzmotorsports.net (dont want weld in style like the steeda and BMR)
Because I really dont feel like making one myself!!!!

The driveshaft will be coming from the driveshaft shop. With their new machine that will ACTUALLY spin the driveshaft to critical speed rather than estimating it from only 2-3k rpm.

I was thinking about making it as a bolt in also. Depends on how much trouble it's going to be honestly. But being pretty lazy with the brakes. Read online these don't fit the stockers unless they were made for an F body ? So probably putting wilwoods on the back I have sitting here. Getting real old working on it though without being able to play with it. Cage will be pretty soon too dammit. ARB and shocks left. I just to stock spring just to hold the car up for now until I find the ones I want to get it lower enough lol.

Man you only have to weld two tabs(ok 4 pieces) on the housing for the bmr kit???

Just four tabs. Roll your welder over to the car ya lazy bastard lol.
Where would you bolt it to, the old sway bar location ?
I may just weld in mine. I see a way to bolt it to the car. But it will be a big pain in the ass in the fab department for the same end result.

You don't want a BMR anyway. Its way to heavy. If i was to do it over. I'd get a nice light weight bar and fab up some brackets. I wouldn't buy a BMR again for sure.

I went 1 1/4 .120
I wanted to see how she does with that first. If it still rolls I'll sleeve it. But don't want the extra weight if I don't need it. The panhard is a good bit lighter than stock though. It's solid because of some dampening material they have in it.

I didn't realize that BMR redesigned their sway bar. I just looked on their site and it looks like they did a real nice job. The old design i have works killer. Its just heavy. I may buy a new one from BMR. Let me know how yours works out. You have any pics yet ? Hey i was just joking around about the caliper. I do it all the time and never had a problem. Bought a new 12 today. Awesome car. You should get one.

No pics yet. In the thinking and scratching my head stage. Can't even put the damn thing in front like it should be with the gas tank in the way.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Trying get a 2011 or something else in here to R&D so I can keep this one. If I can't, it's gone.

Yes, true. But why when it can be bolted. I anticipate changing rear ends @ some point!

For what those tabs are, its nothing to fab up a new set. Hell at least they would fit, I swear they cut the brackets for a 1/2" piece of pipe, mine were no where close to fitting the dia. of the tube.

Bolts into lower control arm bracket.

The Cobra jet does but the BMR kit does not.

I do agree tho the bmr kit is a heavy mofo!

I think I'll take this home tonight and weigh it. Doesn't seem too bad. Maybe 12 lbs as a guess ? I need to make one bracket go back to the muffler mount for bracing and call it a day. Hopefully the generic shock mounts will be here tomorrow.
