I'm 90 minutes away from any e85 stations. True dedication is storage! Trust me though. I cant wait to get a pump in town so I can just cruise whenever without having to worry about running down my reserve.

Thanks Brandon, let me know how yours go when u tune it

It's tuned bro! Pulls like a monster! Just waiting for temps to cool off so I can get some good dyno numbers.

I ran a kid in a pullied heaton car a few weeks ago. From a roll he was in second and I was in third. Before I shifted into 4th it looked like he was backing up because I was pulling so hard on him. I tried to get my buddy to video it but he hadnt been in the car since the 2.9 swap and he spent most of the time with the phone pointed at his knee screaming like a little girl. LOL!

just curious what rpm are you guys pulling before you shift and are these cars laying over in the upper rpm scale anywhere?

mine makes peak power at 6750... So shifting at 7k isnt a problem. The higher the 2.9 spins the better it gets

Going to the dyno on thursday at 6pm. Ill keep you guys updated

Looking forward to numbers! Still waiting for these 110 degree days to break

25 psi 21 degrees timing on e85 you'll never want to shift!

Its going to hard for you to make 800whp. But GOOD LUCK. I have a built motor 8:5.1 compression, SHM Race heads, stages 3 comp cams blower cams. 3.4L Whipple with Cursher kit, 19psi of boost (im change that to 22-23 psi soon) kooks long tubed stepped headers, no cats, no emissions, 19 degress timing, 80lbs injectors, Fore tripple hat with 3 gt40 pumps, zone 5 mega driver, -12 fuel feed line, TR6 plugs .30 gap and 93octane with torco tuned by Jon Lund and it only made 750whp, 650wtq on a dynojet and 715whp, 630wtq on a Mustang dyno. I wanted to be around 850-900whp but Jon Lund said thats not going to happen without a turbo system. :(

Also if you running 25psi your just wasting your time since the 2.9 blower is small. On the 2.9 the most you should go is 19psi, the 3.4 whipple the most you should go is 24 psi, the 4.0 the most you should go is 28psi after that its not efficient, wasted heat and loss of power. These are words from Jon Lund, he is the best tuner that I have found. I brought my car to him with almost 30psi and he woudnt tune it with that amount of boost. He made me turn it down to 19psi and said after the tune I can change it to 22psi if i want. My current pulley setup is 6.5 lower 3.75 upper and makes 19psi with this combo.

Nope and Jon would aggree with me. Since I was talking to him about all this about a month ago when I went for my dyno tune. I know how e85 works. But when something is inefficient its just pointless

I bet my pointless inefficient 2.9 whipple makes as much or more power as your godly 3.4 does!
