You apparently care.
You make up some b.s. story that I'm trolling YOUR threads, then you get pissy when I comment on a thread that's about a C6 Z06/GT500 comparison :whine:
I have civil and respectful converstions with other car nuts on this board, and naturally use my experience to back up my comments......I'm not a bench racer. Nuff said

No offense taken, but try this approach out.......... if you don't care about the C6 Z06 threads that other members of this board have started (not me) that have interest in the comparisons, stop reading and POSTING in them
FYI, the owner of the Cobra in the video in this thread is a friend of mine. I would have been out at this race, as he texted me the evening it happened. I decided to have dinner at home instead. :dumbass: Therefore, I have an interest in the thread.

And believe me, I couldn't care less about you or your Z06. :D
Here is the thread to support the "b.s. story" that you were trolling. You came tromping in to tell us all how it was "weird that the Z06's were trapping so low, especially the drag radial car", and went on to tell us all how fast your car is in 4600' DA with just a cold air kit and blah, blah, blah.

http://www.svtperformance.com/forum.../874335-first-passes-bone-stock-13-gt500.html

Just admit that you're looking for an excuse to tell people about the Z06.
For you to tell somebody who has two SVT vehicles and quite a bit of info to share with other SVT owners on an SVT board where to post is ****ing rich. Seriously, if that's you're attitude, take it back to CorvetteForum.com and circle-jerk over there.

Seriously man your Z06 is god thing is borderline with the GTR nutswing squad on SVTP

Really ????????? I'm not going to continue cluttering up the OP's thread with this pissing contest, but I'll challenge you with this........

Find ONE thread where I suggest that the Z06 is going to walk, hammer, destroy, drag, break-off,( what ever you want to use ) a GT500 in some head-to-head drag or roll race. Certainly, if I thought the Z06 was G0D like, I would have made that statement somewhere in a thread on this board.

Find it and post it.....or PM me. Whatever works best for you.

The GT500 is a very impressive ride.....I have several friends on this board that own them. I'm interested in getting one when the dealer's come to their sense. I also happen to think GT-R's are mighty impressive. If that's nutswinging to you, so be it.

You're the person that has the problem with other's posting...especially if they don't agree with your view. Suddenly, me saying "that's weird that the Z06's were trapping so low" in that thread is now considered tromping and trolling :whine:

You could own 12 SVT vehicles....I don't care. But if you have a problem with me posting my viewpoint in a Z06 thread, I suggest that it is YOU that has the attitude. :pop:

If this conversation need's to continue, PM me instead of trashing this thread.

Dude...you went on to post about a half-a-dozen times telling us how fast you and your buddies' cars are. Nobody cared. :lol1: Nobody cares now.
You can post all you want, regardless if it coincides with my "view". But you're going to have to be prepared to be called out for trolling, especially when you're constantly nut-hugging Z06's on an SVT board. :D

Most of the stock or bolt on Z06's around here run 12's...lol

Running 12's is pretty easy if you're not careful LOL

You using a Vbox Performance or a Drift box ?
I use my HP Tuners Pro to log my data but I'm thinking of getting a performance box.

On that note, we need to get another rental scheduled.
The heads-up race against a Z06 will need to be during a T&T since they run one lane at the rentals.

Wish I was closer. Heading back to VA from LA so a good ride ahead of us. Have the cars behind us at that LOL. Most defend their cars and feel they are the best. Svt is one of the best sites for those to share experiences because of mods. Not a biased site like others. Both are great cars with different purposes. The Z was the money maker for us Sunday because the Shelby just couldn't leave on the street we were on.

Great roads in Alexandria and 28 is perfect for a few quick pulls. Depending on mods the Shelby is great in 1/4 racing because of TQ down low. Harder to launch but easier to get quick 60s when set up right. Z is easier to launch and better to control. Roll ons are a different story. Anything over 60 and you have problems. Xcross and a novice can look good after a few laps. Great cars just different purposes. Have to be an enthusiast to enjoy either. General public can't tell a V6 with stripes from a boss to a Shelby. A Z from the base C to the grand sport. Enjoy them if you can and raceem when you getem

Heads, cam, intake, throttle body, and a Tad bit of port work or extrude honing. My 08 Z made 605 at the rear wheels. Some say it was a freak but walked many a car before 125 if they could even get out front. Did run 10.9s with it with filter, DRs and exhaust. Still had factory tune in it

Why are the pots calling the kettle black?

+1

Guys are going to be proud of their cars, even if they don't drive an SVT product. As long as their facts are true, I certainly don't mind people challenging the standard way of thinking on here. Nothing worse than everyone agreeing on the same thing all the time. Plenty of Camaro posts over on C5 for that. :rollseyes

Having owned a modded C6Z, and spending considerable seat time in two different GT-Rs, I can tell you that there is plenty to be proud of with either one of them, and those cars have both been near the top of the food chain a lot longer than the GT500 has.

I just think it's funny when anyone with a car costing $25K+ more than a GT500 (Z06, ZR1, Viper, GT-R, etc.....) starts talking crap about being faster.

Reminds me of a guy in town with a Bugatti Veyron that wears a license plate frame that says "Ferraris for lunch, Vipers for Dinner" Really? You spent a MILLION euros on that car (which at the time was over $1.5M USD), and you're taking shots at cars costing 1/10th of what you paid? :loser:

May the fastest car win, no matter who makes it! (Just don't be a prick if you're the one driving it). :nonono:

Learn to read. I stated a short list of mods that made 605.
10.9s on factory tune with filter and drag radials. Sad thing about majority of Vette guys is their lack of understanding or like the my car cost more so is better. I'm an enthusiast and fortunate enough to have both. Quality goes to Shelby hands down.

Car made that on livernois dyno after tuned. Said I would never crack engine bolt until it ran 10s back to back. Barely did it but it was at ATCO and things seem to move a little faster up there. 11.1s and a few 11.0s at Buds Creek in MD.

Learn to read before you call B.S.

I would have to agree that calling a C6Z a "10 sec car" is a bit misleading.

Whatever "__ sec car" you claim a car to be would mean that the average joe could jump in a bone stock car down to the street tires and run that time. We all know that isnt happening in the Z. Hell i think its only happened once or twice and the car was practically frozen at atco when the pass was made.

For example. There have me numerous bone stock 6.1 srt's that have ran anywhere from 12.5-12.9 BUT i would never call them "12 sec cars". They're 13 sec cars realistically.

C6Z06 and GT500 are both fast as hell stock. The honest truth is at OSW, both cars with their owners ran crap times except for Snorman. I can tell you both are no where near 11s stock here in test and tune day. A few of us were all there when stock 2013 with 18" drag radials can't break into 11's. There are so much electronic stuff to sort out, it just wasn't happening at test and tune with 2-3 runs in 4 hours. Snorman is the first guy to figure out the electronic out of the (4) 2013 GT500 I saw at track running. Both cars are capable of much more, but it doesn't matter how fast the car is, what matter is how fast your car with you in it is.

As for the past two years at OSW, one stock Z06 hit 11s (11.9, many 11.0's) once on Fun Sunday and zero street Corvette Z06 hit 10's (11.0@131 or so with head & Cam and 18" M&H tires).
