That's actually surprising. I thought he would get you, but you stated you shut down at 130mph, that's probably why? What speeds did you start the rolls from?

I think a better race for you two would be a 60-160.

there is always a retard that says shit like that.. Nice kill op!

Istant blower TQ for the win. You heard how he chirp the tires each shift, not even sure of the m5 was trying. He looked way to slow, was he even in M mode?

Guess the lesson we learn here if if you want a fast German 4 door, get one of them overbuilt underrated torque monster AMG's.

What's M mode? Is that like an econ button on A Honda?

Nah J/K but really what does M mode do, give different parameters for the computer?

Oh yes, its almost like having 3 tunes stored on a SCT tuner and swapping between them except this does suspension as well!

I beat a few when my car was stock from 40-140. Seemed like they started to come back but traffic prevented higher speeds. Every time we shut down I was 2 cars ahead

Not sure if he was in "M" mode, but I do remember him saying he was in full automatic mode, whatever that means. He only had the car for a month, and he was mentioning that he needs to play around with the different modes. Once he gets the M mode figured out, I will do another run with him. From watching other videos of the M5 running other cars, I didn't expect the way he ran, and figured he would go right past me.

Good Kill and nice vid, I expected it to be closer but that's why we race to find out. All this talk about M mode, looked like he was in slow mode. Wait unitl you do a pulley/tune and those goodyears will really be chirping.

Good runs! Like I stated in my earlier post, I thought you'd take him. You've got the weight difference, power displacement difference, and instant torque advantage. The BMW's are great cars. I have had several. I can remember when the E60 M5 came out. When the dealer got one in stock, he invited me in and said I had to drive this car. He said it would beat anything on the road. "It was just that fast." I came in to test drive and was unimpressed. Very nice car, but wasn't fast. I'm not comparing that to the F10, just saying how people can hype the cars.

I don't have the Goodyears.. The previous owner had put Continental DWSs on. If i had the GYs on, the tires would be breaking loose instead of the chirping :) I like the DWSs....

is the m5 manual or dct? dct m5s are easily trapping over 120mph from the few mag reviews i read, IMHO the m5 owner is probably still figuring his car out to get beat that badly especially in the top end

just saw a mototrend video testing the manual m5 and it trapped 117mph IIRC

the m5board videos have plenty of f10 m5 vs ___ videos and it's running door to door with a poorly driven c6 z06 with a tune (the driver's shifting was so painfully slow i wanted to put my fist through my laptop screen) but the fact remains the new m5 is no slouch and i have a hard time seeing it get beat that badly.

His car is a manual, and I agree that he is trying to figure everything out with the car. Like I said, once he gets it all figured out, we will do other runs, and I do agree, the outcome will be different, in his favor.. All in fun, no hurt feelings anyway the runs turn out....

I agree, something was defintely off with his car. I've seen some vids where stock F10 M5s pull on stock CTS-V2s. And you 118mph car made his look like a 114mph car instead of a 121mph car as advertised. :??:

AHHHH! Now it makes sense. He should have gotten the DCT option:bash:
