When I talk to him again, I will find out exactly which R8 he had. For the M5 though, is he going to walk my Shelby?

Maybe he said TTRS and in your drunken state you thought he said TT R8. :lol1:

The new M5s are beasts off the line. M5 is going to win

C/D TEST RESULTS: '13 BMW M5
...
Rolling start, 5–60 mph: 4.6 sec
...

C/D TEST RESULTS: '11 Shelby GT500
...
Zero – 60 mph: 4.1 sec
...

Let the M5 get a 5MPH roll and you start from a dig!

... He is hoping with Tune on his new M6 it should be close to 130 mph.

So he thinks he's going to pick up 11MPH with just a tune?? Why can't we [GT500 owners] find somebody that can tune like that!? :burnout:

Big difference between thought and actual. The m5/m6 tune is $5k and takes 3 weeks (ship to Germany) currently as I was told. We thought m5/m6 has same potential as Benz, sounds like we are wrong.

The first stage tuning package breathes more power into the M5's bi-turbo 4.4L V8 engine by pushing it 624bhp and 575 lb-ft torque. This is an increase of +72hp and 74 lb-ft over factory 552bhp/501tq. 661bhp with downpipes/tune.

The M157 in the CLS63 does 669bhp and 734tq up from 518bhp with ONLY a tune and over 700bhp with a downpipes/tune.

The new AMG twin-turbo engines are flat-out ridiculous. Definitely not something to screw with once Renn-Tech has them properly tuned! Plus, AMG's engineers have an incredible ability (read: large budget) of putting their power to the ground efficiently. Scary from a dig, but can't wait to run into one on the open road!

:beer::bowdown::bowdown:

Renntech has already gotten one to go 10.6 @ 132mph and over 212+ mph with tune and exhaust mods only.:eek::eek::eek: It made over 820lbs-ft tq in the 2k rpm range and they had to detune it to save the tranny! INSANITY!
MHP has been getting some SICK numbers out of them as well.

560+ H/C/I C6Zs and 720+rwhp '13 Shelbys GT500s are trapping 132-135mph.

MHP is tuning both the BMW 4.4TT and the AMG 5.5TT very successfully here in the states. It is not cheap but is more affordable than the overseas guys.

I believe the tuning software for the 4.4TT in the X5/X6 is different from that in the F10 M5 and only a 2 or 3 German Tuners have been able to tune on an F10 M5

I just tested a 2013 M5 on the back roads of Germany, 2 weeks ago. It is fast, but more of a quite fast. We got up to 130mph, I think the biggest difference will be the automatic gear shifting. I have never been in an 2011 GT500, but if it is anywhere close to the 2013 it should be a good race. I got my 2013 GT500, 2 days after testing the M5 and gave the Bimmer, saleman ride he wanted to trade titles on the spot :) Last there is a recall on the M5, oil pump failures.
Just my 2cent

Oil pump failures on the F10 or E60 M5s??

I do recall there being issues with the Vanos pump on the E60s.

For the 2013 M5 there is an oil problem that dealer needs to fix. Local track gt500 has 2-3mph on trap speed over M5.

Oil pump failures on the F10 or E60 M5s??

I received the message via new feed, about 3 weeks ago. It stated that a letter was sent to all 2013 M5 owners to stop driving their cars. The issue is a failure of the oil pump could cause a fire. I will see if I can find the article. Sorry I don't have more infor.

Yes the F10's S63 motor has issues with the oil pump there's is a recall out there for them
The E60 M5 S85 motor has vanos issues along with oil pump issues But no recall . M5 is a magnificent car but not raw enough to hang with a Shelby

I wasn't sure if my friend was familiar with the 3 beeps then race, and you can see that from the first round. So, on the second run, after the beeps, I didn't hit it full throttle util I knew he was in it. I shut it down at 130..it was fun!!!
