Kelly, there is simply no comparison in quality between the BMR and UPR K members. Side by side, it's easy to understand why BMR weighs more, it's built stronger. I'd sacrifice 2.4 lbs. of weight saving to gain ridgitiy and quality any day of the week.

I agree

i have never seen them side by side like that before

Sounds like a great black friday buy... My question. is this for real? Easy 2 to 3 hour installation time

How much stress can one of these take... just as strong or stonger then factory?

please excuse me being ignorant is this matter, I have never changed or removed one.

I gotta say, we went a little on the low side.

I think, since we have installed so many, that we underrated that a bit.

I can do the install in less than 2 hours.

Our dealers (install shops) say it's about 3-4 hours, sometimes in the 5-6 range depending on how many parts they are installing.

JPC and 281 Motorsports install more of our K-Members than anyone else, on the S197's...so you could ask them what they charge, maybe? Eric from JPC is in this thread, maybe he can chime in.

They are more rigid than factory. I would not say stronger, as the OEM piece would dominate any aftermarket piece in a loaded twist-test.

That said, we have sold a few thousand of these - and have (1) reported "issue". We had a road course customer call us to let us know a weld on the rear A-Arm mounting piece separated. He threw another bead (welded it) down and still uses it.

I have a question about engine height. Some GT500 owners said the normal height version actually raised their engine some. Is this happening on the Coyote cars as well?

An N/A Coyote GT will sit within 1/16" of factory ride height.

When adding a SC (TVS/Whipple/KB/Etc) it will likely be about .15" to .20" lower than the factory engine.

Years ago, we had some people who reported that the standard height K raised their engines maybe 1/8". Some IIRC, said even 1/4".

That may have been the case, but it has not been that way for quite some time. We have revised our jigs so many times, it's not even funny. Our current K-Member being made is EXTREMELY precise.

Here is the text I just got..from the person who just installed the one I pictured above:

I love seeing responses like that.

Just so you guys know, I am fairly certain that our K-Member is the only K-Member (aftermarket) that fits with a Hellion Single turbo Kit.

The factory power steering goes in the BMR k-member with no added hardware!

I own a Bmr. Had it in my 2012 gt500 and one of my 2013 5.0 cars. Mine looks very very similar to the silver one in the pics but hammertone and bought direct from bmr. Honestly that p.o.s. little moumt made both cars vibrate to the point of removal and created rattles in my dash. If anyone wants a rattle free daily driver car I would recommend a softer mount system.

Lol Kelly, I wish you could tell the backstory on these latest pictures. . . I know all the details and it really would be beneficial to the community to know. I know it kind of puts you in a tough spot though.. I saw the car in the pictures first hand 2 days ago and spoke with the shop owner about the issues. It's nice to see the BMR piece fit perfectly w/o the need for modification. BMR ftw (like always)

P.S. - check my facebook :(
