Mods that I already have and would like to keep installed: Boss IM and exhaust (Kooks LTs, Kooks O/R X and MBRP cat-back).

I would like 600-650rwhp on 93 pump.

Recently installed a Stage 2 procharger tuner setup from Beefcake Racing with Lund Tune. Also have boss mani and 6mt with 3.73s. Highly recommend. Install went smooth as glass and tune is awesome. Did a Stage 2 P1SC-1 9psi kit with Helical Gears, ID1000s, brisk plugs, and vmp bap. Drives like dead stock below 3500rpms when driving around town but above 3500rpm it turns into a beast and just keeps pulling harder and harder to redline. Have not been to a dyno and I am on stock headers and cats running 93 octane but it should be right around 600whp.

I have a 13, M6 w/ 3.73s... 70k miles... drive 50mi/day and I just recently installed a Roush Stage 2 setup. Put down 585 in midsummer FL heat and has given me 0 issues.

It doesn't seem like you can go wrong with any of the major brands SC. Really depends on what you are looking for, PD vs Centri.

It's kind of ironic to see all the Procharger love on this site recently. A couple of years ago anytime someone mentioned choosing a Procharger they were swayed towards Paxton/Vortech 10 to 1. Personally, I'm glad to see it, not knocking the Paxton/Vortech set-ups as they are proven performers, but the sound of a Procharger with straight cut gears at idle is so sweet and brings back so many good memories.

I think the thing with procharger was the placement of the air filter. Truth is the only people who complain about it seem to be people who dont have one and just assume it will have high intake air temps. I can assure you that is not the case. My car runs as cool or cooler now than it did with just a CAI. Also initial price is higher but in my opinion worth it. As far as the sound, I went helical so there is only a slight whine at idle. Just enough to let you know something is there that wasn't before.

Given that you want to keep the mods you have, I'd go the centri route. Give Beefcake a call and see what he can do for you on one of his Beefcake Special kits.

I would go VMP simply for the maintenance aspect of it, you won't have to worry about changing the oil in it like you would with a centri.

The three people I know with ProChargers run IAT way higher than my Vortech and make less power.

Then mine must be an anomaly. At idle or when cruising my IATs are within 1-2 degrees of outside temp. Again not trying to argue but once again its someone who knows someone with a procharger. Do they have the stage 1 or stage 2 intercooler? I want to hear someone who has one chime in and say they have high IATs. Show me a chart where a vortech made more power at the same boost level with all other mods being equal.

You could really go any route and be more than happy with them all. Just comes down to the little stuff, maintenance, install, supporting mods. Shoot me a PM and we can go over options and priceing for your needs.

The problem I see me having with a centri kit is that I'm coming off of a 150 shot of laughing gas. The MASSIVE torque lost will be felt substantially I feel.

As long as you have the stage II procharger kit you won't have issues with high IAT's. The stage I kit was the one with the IAT issues due to the much smaller intercooler. Plus the procharger kit comes with a 8 rib pulley standard, option for helical gears, better blow-off valve, as well as better MAF placement.

1.39 60' foots, Paints black stripes at 30 mph, on pump gas and et pro's wish I had a lot more torque like a nitrous car- runs 10.0's with shifting and locking up issue and 6.40-6.42 at 108 mph in the 1/8 mile- really wish I had all that nitrous torque. Get a used procharger kit with the big intercooler and don't look back. and loose the 3.73's for some 3.31's

I have basically the same car as you, and I just bought a Stage 3 Whipple 2.9 from Beefcake. I'm in the process of installing it now. Check out my build thread if you're interested.

The fit/finish of this kit is nothing short of spectacular. It feels like installing factory stuff. It's very well-engineered, as you'd expect from Whipple.

Paul.
