I don't even bother. I keep all my records as well. I have a guess off the top of my head, but I guess it doesn't really matter to me, I don't plan on selling and sometimes knowing the amount can be daunting.

Bought the car 4 years ago for $25k with 10k. Immediaterly put about $6k into mods. Car now has 45k.

My other car I bought new and I don't really have as much of an idea on that one because the mods were done over such a long period of time. But it kept me broke, that's for sure!!

Bought my car for $15K.
Following year I purchased $9500 in parts.
The year after that another $8700.
This year I haven't added it up but I guess around $4000.
Next year I hope less than $3000.

Cost of the car + $450.00. I'm in pretty deep. ;-)

You're a rare breed; very rare breed indeed. LOL. When I had my '03 Cobra, I had invested around $3,500 - $4,000 into it on top of the purchase price. A relatively small investment. One of the reasons why I sold it was because I knew it would be a money magnet over the years. I put WAY too much money into my '94 Callaway Camaro and wasn't about to do it again with my Cobra. I miss my Cobra, but have saved thousands since selling it. To those who continue to invest money into your Cobras, as long as you're happy with the return of fun and satisfaction, go for it.

I am not sure, but it sure has been fun. I do my own work, so that keeps me busy. I love driving it, I even daily drove it the 1st summer I had it. Only issue was gas was $4/gallon that summer. Oh well, it was fun. I race it when I get a chance and always have friends at the track with me, so that is awesome. Hell, my dad came out to one of the track rentals and we got to hang out and bs about cars.
The money doesn't matter to me, as it has given me so many great memories along the way. I'd say I have 35ish total over the years, but that might be off.....haha

I bought mine with documentation for 19k in mods I have put another 4k in since then. I didn't think I had spent that much already. I have only had it just over 1 year.

I refuse to even think about it.

When ever I think I have too much money into a car, I just think about the guy driving out of the shop at Underground after having them install the works on their Lambo.

Yeah, I always avoid adding it up.

Bought it for 24k in 08 with 15k miles. Has 21k miles now.

Blew the motor a few years later, fully built with a teksid. I've done 3 whipples, a tvs, and i just ordered a hellion twin 67 hell raiser kit a couple weeks ago. Did a budget fuel system and then an entire fuel system with ID1000's, seats and harnesses, roll bar, full tubular front suspension, built solid rear axle, I've done the rear suspension twice, wheels and tires, true forged tabks, billet idlers, blew up my built rear end once, dual aeroforce gauges, McLeod RXT, brand new stage 3 cams and ARH headers sitting in my garage. Just a never ending list.

But I've got to have between 50-60k and me and my buddies have done almost everything ourselves.

I don't really mind though when I think about people dropping 70k plus on a brand new and then modifying the shit out of it and it losing value. My goal, which should be close now... is 1000 rwhp. I'm planning to do one more motor build and then eventually an auto swap. Never selling this car.

I'm probably somewhere in the low 30s, maybe a little less. I figure it's worth at least 25k or more. No plans to sell of course.
