lol Dodge promised everyone would run 9.65s? It took thousands of runs before it ran a time and they promoted it based on that... plain and simple

You wont find 1 Demon owner that is pissed their car won't run 9.65 @ 140
Did you speak to all 3,300 of them? Show us the survey

Dodge didn’t promise anything. They advertised what it’s capable of. 99.9% of the buyers seem to understand this, which makes these threads even more entertaining.

Some understand. Some do not. These threads are entertaining because they always have both types of people responding.

No disagreement there. And yeah... it's kind of a promise when you go to the length of getting the time "NHRA Certified" along with being kicked off the track and all the other publicity stunts that went along with the release.

They knew exactly what they were doing. I couldn't be more happy for them.

I just find it laughable that not a single one has done what Dodge was able to get "certified" by the NHRA.

Hook, Line, Sinker!!

You wont find 1 Demon owner that is pissed their car won't run 9.65 @ 140

ROFL!

I dont see any low mileage Demons for sale...

Im on the Hellcat forum and facebook group every single day. Not 1 Demon owner is upset about the time they ran. BTW less than half of the 3,300 Demons have been delivered to their owners.

Like I said.. I think theyre awesome cars. Hell.... im even in the minority in liking the flares!

I love me some Demon. I sure as hell wouldn't sell mine if I had one.

But even if say.... ~1600 of them have been delivered.. don't you think SOMEONE should have at least come close to the advertised 9.65/140 by now or do you find it acceptable that every single one of them has under performed thus far vs. Dodges time?

Im fine with it since it took one of the best drag racers in the world on a perfect day and a perfect track to do it. Dodge ran a time in a Hellcat on stock tires and no one has matched that either

9.65 @ 140 may never be replicated again by a stock Demon on Nittos but I think we will see someone crack into the 9.80s. There is a big racing event this weekend and tons of Demons will be trying. Should be some good videos up in the next few days

Oh look, another MODDED one going faster. The problem is stock they can't get close to what Dodge claimed. Took Dodge THOUSANDS of passes to hit that hero run? What a load of shit then. Smh & LOL

This thread remains weird. I'm commuting in my Demon these days. It's a hoot and a half.

The only real problem with the Demon is that everyone wants to street race. Way worse than in a Ferrari or McLaren. It's like they come out of the woodwork...

From the Mush himself:

"Hey guys. Been without much cell signal all weekend. Here is some Info in case anyone was confused.
Power:
2.65 pulley
Belt
1700 injectors
Per4mance brace
Jba catless mids
Hoosier 325/45/18 tires everyone is running.
Crate PCM unlocked so we have HO mode to switch maps if we want
We are tuning ourselves. And by that I mean, my best friend Josh, who is also tuned my hellcat. We have some issues, we are learning as we go, and as you know, the tuners are usually very tight lipped. Tim Barth was gracious enough to lend us some tips and pointers because we did run in to some things erroring out. And curt at injected also was kind enough in providing a few pointers when we were doing the hellcat. It’s all street tuned, we didn’t make it to a dyno in time for this weekend after getting the pulley on. I’m sure once we can , we can get a bit more out of it. The car has potential. We aren’t exactly the best to use as a case study since we are just some hicks f’ing off in my basement. And I’m by no means the best driver around. But this summer, it’s gonna be epic for everyone who is modding Demons.

Weight:
Racing seats from Cipher Auto
Pulled passenger seat this weekend
Pulled rear seat
Floor mats
Add in the AAD Harness bar
All door cards, interior panels etc still in the car. Trunk foam crate piece left in trunk just because it’s a pain to remove, but pulled out the tools and crap out.

Tires. I’m running at 17-18psi. Played around with higher and lower psi. They are working for me, on prep. 15” May still be the way to go."

If people can't make the Demon produce even close to advertised times now, I don't see how hot summer weather is going to make it any better. Yeah, the tires might get more grip, but the engines will be making less power, so they cancel each other out to a degree.
