Ask Sean if Ford has mitigated the halfshaft CV joint issues yet. GT4 Mustang teams have resorted to a few simple tricks to stave off the failures they were seeing.

He says zero failures with the part they are now using.

I hate you.

No, no, wrong thread for that. That is for his other one. ;)

Pay no attention to the smiley face below, I can't get rid of it for some reason, ha.

Any chance you will run it at Fontana, Willow or Chuckwalla? I'm curious as to how it would do at those tracks.

I have the utmost respect for Sean and Co at Multimatic. I'll be at Watkins Glen for the next round in the IMSA Continental Tire series and will have ample opportunity to inquire with those servicing the GT4 cars. I'm interested in talking to them about this as I wasn't aware there was a part change beyond what teams are doing on their own to address the issues they saw with the boots/joints on the halfshafts. IIRC, at least one team had a failure at Sebring and I saw some hardware carnage at Daytona.

Tob are these the same half shafts that the regular GT350s come with?

Austin, I have some photos somewhere of the axles and their corresponding part numbers. If I remember correctly, they are or were GT350 axles but don't quote me on it until I can verify that.
