+1 on that.

What about the response for "great" customer service over the phone?

Either way a tq. plate recall could be bigger than Toyota's recent recall!!!

exactly....how many cars out there have this and dont even know it? extremely dangerous for peoples high dollar engines that most of them prob cannot afford to have the car down (DD) or afford to build a new motor.

I would like clarification on this too. The only thing that makes sense, is if the op bought the blower, and waited a year to install it, or if he bought it second hand.

I'm very worried about this whole situation after reading this thread, because I have a stage 5 on my car, and when I installed it, the small weld near the opening appeared to have a very slight stress crack, but the plate didn't have any flex to it, so I figured it would be fine, and that the slight crack was just shrinkage from when it was welded. Now I feel like I really should pull the damn thing off again, and just cut that stupid plate right out of it!:fm::cuss: Will it still work like a stage 4 without the "torque plate"? Just wondering if that was the only thing that makes it a stage 5...?

Well, if you have the early stage 5, then I would go ahead and pull it. Imagine if a chunk broke off and some how got lodged in the rotors or worse, somehow made it into the engine.

I believe the above link shows Stiegemeier Porting's dedication to customer service. The supercharger in question was ported by us over a year and a half ago and is a very early Stage 5. The OP has been offered a full repair and update to our current Stage 5 configuration along with shipping both ways which he declined. We also offered to send out a new Stage 5+ in exchange for his older design and he declined. We stand behind our products 100% and strive for customer satisfaction. If anyone has questions or concerns please feel free to call me or PM me and I will answer you personally.

Thank you,

Robert D. Stiegemeier

 So whats his bitching about than? This is a more than satisfactory offer..

Maybe he is bitching because it took a prybar and anal lube to pry that offer out of them. No one knows the whole story except OP and Stiegey. No one can assume the OP or the vendor isnt guilty of some sort of douchery.

Shipping both ways? Can I get a refund on that then cause I paid both ways when you fixed mine & I was nice & didn't post up pics of the bottom of my Stage 5.

You sir are not the only one he has yelled and cussed at over the phone. I was woken up at 7-8am on a Sunday morning by Bob because of something I had posted in a thread where he thought i was bashing him. Lesson learned he takes stuff way to serious and freaked out.

Also out of nowhere he came into one of my threads in the Time Slip bar not to long ago and started bashing me and trying to give me a bad reputation. I have a hint why, because I said I was running a Posi ported Dragon TB/PL in his thread about "what tb/pl are you running"...that is the only reason i could see him doing that. Also i wasnt the only one in that thread that did that.

Also I took my blower down to Brian personally(very nice guy btw and great facility). He took the blower apart right in front of me and we discovered a few things.

#1-The rotors hit (which was the second Stiegemeier blower Ive had where that has happened, this first one I actually had to have the car put on a flat bed and towed home)
#2-The rotors were rubbing the rear of the case(which then the case and rotors had to be retired.(which was mentioned in my thread and Stiegemeier blamed that on me somehow)
#3-Eaton oil was not used in the front drive gear box(supposed to be an authorized Eaton dealer)
#4-Eaton grease was not used in the rear needle bearings(supposed to be and authorized Eaton dealer)
#5-My lower intake port was just pathetic

Stiegemeier was going to give me a sponsorship deal until I had posted what I did, which I can easily see someone taking it the wrong way, but his first response was cussing me on the phone. I did offer to pay for everything that he did, which he declined and still gave it to me for free, but still wasnt very professional about the ordeal.

All in all, this year my car will be powered by a Posi Performance blower, lower intake and a dragon tb/pl. Maybe one of Stiegemeier's shop cars we be lined up against me at the track this year, UH OH!

PS, just thought everyone should know he wasnt the first.

i just called john yesterday and gave you an deadline to make it right again for the fourth time and explained i wasn't gonna post anything if u let me know by 6pm last nite. last time i will reply in thread but i think we all know what is really going here.

I was personally out of the shop until after 6 pm last night. And no, not everyone knows what is really going on here. OP's reciept is dated 06-23-08.
My offer is still available to the OP, to make the supercharger right or to send him another in exchange. This is the original offer that was extended even after the warranty is expired. Like I've always stated "We stand behind our work 100%". The small weld in question is only a tack weld meant to hold the plate in place while we weld the sides. The revised weld procedure extends the weld across the front for added stability. The plate has also been revised and is thicker . I personally have never seen one with a section broken out but our current design has shown 0 failures.

^^^... that's would be a shock if that happened, Steg would have a lot of claims coming in.

From what the OP has said and what I read from Steg, sounds like this would not have been a issue if things were handled in a different way from the phone call where names and cursing was used. I think if Steg would have just fixed it out of the gate, POSI never would have been brought up and a statement and pics would never have been posted.

With any product there will never be 100% satisfaction, and when people are involved in the production it will never be 100% perfect every time.

Sounds like OP put it on Steg.... and then Steg called the bluff, and had to make a damage control statement.

Pretty standard stuff really when your in a industry such as this.

If the reciept and dates are true, then this is a whole new ball game...

Your views are totally one sided. But I'll answer you anyway.

You said, "right side". Not me. I said, "other side".

"there it is guys."....please

are they? my views are also based on experiences as everyone else that has posted or made a thread even if it was deleted. deleted you say? how many threads have been deleted from people having problems to ANY vendor? how many posts? A forum with no negative posts about anyone....thats weird....I guess a whole random bunch of us all pm'ed eachother and we picked random dates throughout the last year to post up our "experiences" for everyone to see. I guess we are ALL one sided, as well as you...

Deleted? Really? Please take another look.
Sid has stated many many times constructive criticism is fine. But all out vendor bashing will be removed.

Sid owns this site and nothing is done that he doesn't approve. He has removed and reinstated Vendor problem threads.
Depending on how they were written.

This thread is a perfect example. The OP made his point without bashing so the thread is still here.

I know Billy (supercarkiller) and he is a good guy. He lives in my area. He has been wrestling with this low power problem for awhile. He doesn't drive the car often and these things take time to work out - because it is hard to pinpoint the problem.

Had he been offered 100% satisfaction up front, then we wouldn't be seeing this post.

here goes the 2 sides again...There are people that have seen them...people get called and pm'ed about "go look at this thread" and then....hey...wait where is it? I of course have zero proof....it has happened to me and others on many occasions.

Im actually shocked this thread is still here. there HAVE been other "cracked" threads deleted or shall I say, was told to read and could not find. Its a big problem for the community and they deserve to know about it. deleted things just makes for a false truth.

where did the posts in iBiTe's thread go?

and the op has almost 10k posts in 2 years...he has been around...Im sure alot of them he is looking for answers....if not thats just alot of road side pub bs'ing. the date to me makes no difference

Like I said, Sid owns this site. I don't know about the thread in question or how it was written.

Constructive criticism is not removed. Please take another look. There have been several threads lately about vendor problems and they are not gone..

This,
my whole thread was deleted, but then posted back up without all the BS in it.
