I should go back and quote you where you claim to know everything about every platform, including the mod motors. But you're not worth it. The DOHC 5.4 was introduced into the Navigator FIRST in 1999. The 4.6 didn't provide enough torque, so Ford stroked it into a 5.4 for their trucks. The SOHC 5.4 was a turd, so for the Navigator they put a better breathing top end on. The Cobra R, in 2000, got a modified Navigator engine. How do I know this? I sat through the NMT (new model training for morons like you) at my Lincoln/Mercury dealer at the time.

Honestly, IDC who is faster.. I didnt just buy my car for speed. I thought it looked good, got damn good gas milage, and sounded good. If a bolt-on mach is faster.. Good for them. They obviously got a nice performing car!

At the end of the day, someone will always be faster.

I'm not sure why everyone always gets soo hung up on stock times either.. I personally care about what it takes to get a certain platform to break into the 10's, 11's, and 12's. As mentioned above, who will honestly keep these cars stock? I've only seen 1 stock 03/04 cobra ever! And just a handful of fbodies.. Which were in the shop I used to work at getting mods done..

I thought it was nuts that a '11 GT ran a 10 second pass with JUST bolt-ons, tires, and a tune. THATS what we should be talking about.. Not flaming away eachother, about what platform is better in stock form. I really dont a **** about that either. Both cars are great for what they are. Both will hold their own on the streets.. And both have their own advantages and disadvantages. I wouldnt mind owning either..

Some? I make a good living fixing both the spark plug missiles in the 2Vs, and THE CURRENT 3V that refuses to let it's spark plugs leave the heads - literally. I'll give Ford some credit, they fixed the spark plug retainment issue with the 3Vs. Now, they don't come out of the head without breaking. Ever seen the 3V plug design? Ford engineers :rollseyes
Good for you... The problem existed in SOME... It certainly didn't affect every 5.4L, which was used for several years and still is. I drove a 99 F-250 with a 5.4L and up to 171,xxx miles(when it was sold), it had no such issue. Nor did most 99's, apparently.

You act like the ZR1 is Mikes only car. For the record, he has a '87 Buick Grand National on the brink of 8's. Car has ran a best of 9.2 @ 14x and recently got a 75-shot kit installed. He also has a 2008/2009 Hayabusa that runs high 8's in street trim, and a LS1 Camaro SS that will be in the 9's N/A once the 454 LSX is finished. That car will also sport a shot of juice as well.

Heck, if all else fails I bet he could hop on his bike and beat abut 99.999% of the cars on this forum.

If he has all that, why did he claim the photo of a ZR1 as his own when it's been posted elsewhere and clearly, he just copied and pasted the pic?

We don't actually care what he has, truth be told. As much as you two would like to think it, most of us couldn't care less what other people have.

As for the bike being faster... One of my brothers has a nearly stock '07 Gxxr 750 that would easily outrun 99.999% of the cars... EVERYWHERE. It's a SuperSport motorcycle... and they're built to go very fast. The Huyabusa is certainly no exception, though it handles like a shopping kart compared to most bikes of its style.

way out of hand. all of this comes down to the fact that its 6 one way and half a dozen another. the cars are competition for each other.

This whole thread has become one big circle jerk. I mean honestly, HONESTLY do you Chevy guys really believe a bone stock LS1 can beat a new 5.0 with equivalent drivers? It's already been proven by the magazines that the new 5.0 is faster than the 2010 SS so basically what you're saying is that the new SS is slower than the F-body SS. Think about that for a second. :rollseyes You REALLY think Chevy would come out with a slower Camaro after going out of production? There's more than one way to skin a cat. Both of these cars can be fast, and I don't give a rat's ass if either one uses a "truck" engine to do it. It's been done before and will be done again. Hell, the original Viper engine was derived from the Ram V10. Fast is fast no matter how you do it, they've just taken a different approach. I'm sure Chevy is already ramping up to overpower the 5.0 and the the war will continue. :pepper:

that and the new mustang gt 5.0 and new camaro ss both have over 400hp and camaro has what 270-300rwhp which is about 300-340 @ the crank, so 412hp+ for the gt and 426hp for the camaro, thats about almost 100 more hp then the ls1 lol :bash: so = drivers there both alot faster esp when both outtrap and run faster e.t's then a ls1 even with evan smith driving it lol

It's the same guy man, he created two screen names, one to vouch for the others imaginary cars. He doesn't own a ZR1, and he was called out on LS1tech as well, doubt they want him back there either. :p
