I just had my stock diff rebuilt when new gears was installed about 1k miles ago. I've been to the track twice first time with no issues, the second time however, when i had the et streets on the car, it would spin both tires for a few seconds during the burnout then the driver side would stop...
Went to modular depot on sat to have my car tuned. Mods are jlt rai, upr o/r x, mac catback, 4.56's. Right off the interstate it made 293/285 with a mail order tune. Their baseline tune made 301/299. After some tweaking car made 308/304. I'm VERY happy with the tune. Car rips now!
Ran the car this weekend. It was very hot, 95 percent humidity, best of 12.81 at 107 with a crappy 1.87 60 foot, bout a half second off my best. Track was not hooking up at all
Car is a 01 cobra, still have IRS, 4.56's, eibach pro kit, 26x11.5x16 et streets and minor bolt ons. Really wanting to 60' low 1.6s, what would you recommend I set my shocks at? They are at 3 right now and the rear sinks quite a bit, shoud I stiffen them up a bit?
I recently put my xcaliber back to stock tune while waiting for my new xcal2 and tune to come in. So it seems if shift at around 6500 or so, it will backfire and pop small flames out each tip. Sound normal?
Im going to get 4.30's put in next week and was wondering, for the people who have/had them, what they thought of them. I had 4.10's in my solid setup and wanted more gear then. I can't wait to see what 4.30's in the IRS is like!
