Just watching the destruction in Boulder and other parts of Colo this morning and hope you are safe and not affected by the Fires?

Or anyone else on this board for that matter.

Prayers to all the thousands of people fleeing their homes, losing everything.

Crazy situation but as this state keeps growing things like this will happen more frequently. Between the politics, weather/fires, and crazies we have here Colorado is becoming unbearable. I've been here for 28 years and am ready to move on.

Thanks for the check-in guys! I'm sure all of us here in CO appreciate the thoughts and prayers.

As @PhoenixM3 said, the short answer is I and my family are good. The (closer) Marshall Fire was about 80 miles NNW of where my wife and I live. The longer answer is the evac zone for that fire made it to about six miles west of our son's apartment in Westminster, with a pre-evac area extending south. Thankfully, he's safely here, on leave thru this weekend.

I spent a good part of yesterday checking on my co-workers and staff throughout the state. Reached most of them, who confirmed they're unaffected. Fingers remain crossed for a few from whom I have yet to hear back.

I saw the fires out the window. I thought it was just a bunch of dirt kicked up by the wind that day. Then I heard there was a fire in it somewhere, then I heard it was all smoke. Pre-evacuation warnings were a couple streets from me.
There were Wyoming levels of wind that day.

Glad to hear those of you in the area are fine. Those were some really scary blazes. So sad to see so many people lose everything.

How close did the fires get to that Shelby American museum out in Boulder? Some very rare, and irreplaceable Shelby vehicles in that museum.

I'm no longer a first responder nor am I a cartographer but, based on these maps, I'd estimate the closest point of the Marshall Fire to the museum was a little over 6 miles south. Notably, winds drove the fire south and east, so I don't think the museum was in any real danger.
