Wow, subscribed! Love the build, a ton of detail in this car. Kinda like a rotisserie.. the hard way. I just don't see how you will stick to 2K to finish. You got to have more than that already just in paint, polish, parts and tools.

So far I'm only into the car for $1100 more than I paid for the car (Not counting the wheels because I don't consider that part of the car since I swap wheels all the time), so I could just about put a used Vortech on it and still stay under my budget.

Yep that's it. Anderson N41 cam, shooting for a 7 sec pass NA. Then once that goal is reached, it'll get a power adder.

nice! alot of people like that anderson cam!!

But a nice pair of trickflow / afr heads / trickflow or holley intake would get you to your goal n/a real easy ;) lol esp in a light fox compared to the gt40 heads/ intake.

I finally got back to work on the fox.

All the holes are welded up and the scottrod panels are welded in. I spent today grinding down the welds and began spreading some bondo over the imperfections. I have about 5 hours of prep work left and then it will be time to lay some primer, sand a few more times, then lay some color on it.

And the engine is assembled and ready to be dropped in. I went on and did a new oil pump, pickup, and ARP oil pump shaft too.

What size and offset are those XXR's?
Finally got a little time to mess with the car today. I'm going to be running it this Friday, which will be my first time ever making a pass down the track. I figured I should start with the slowest car I have.

I got the nitrous wired up and completed, all I need to do now is run the vacuum lines and mount the bottle.

Looks like a bone stock sub 200rwhp car to me.

Then I put in some much less cut springs. These are only cut 1.5 coils instead of 3, so I will have some suspension travel when I launch.

Then I mocked up an XXR 531. I kinda like them, but I won't be able to tuck them. I will also have to lose the tailpipes or run some different ones which I'm not ready to do yet.

Made some more progress this weekend.

How I started. This is after one prime coat after about 4 more hours of sanding.

After a second coat and another hour or two of sanding

IMG_3292_zpsa8fa2bf2.jpg

And how if looks now. 3rd coat of primer with a bunch of sanding between coats. I gotta say, it's turning out pretty good considering I've never done anything like this before.

That part is not fun but well worth the finished look. Good Job!

I've made some progress since the last time I posted in this thread.

I put in and wired my shift light.

IMG_3339_zps64e8f647.jpg

Pieced together a temporary intake from parts I had laying around. It actually looks pretty nice.

IMG_3497_zpsc6f16d7c.jpg

I would have had the engine bay done, but I ran out of paint at this point. Still waiting on more paint to show up so I can wetsand and clear it. I mocked up the radiator just to see.

IMG_3406_zps6c07f51c.jpg

I cleaned and painted all of the AC lines.

The engine, completely ready to go in. I mocked up the upper intake to see how it would look.

I got the front clip out of the shed and gave it a good cleaning. I can't believe how good it looks to have been sitting out in the elements for months!

IMG_3503_zps6781aa73.jpg

And I primed the fender jambs for paint.

Thanks everyone!

I finally got my paint and clear, so I finished up the bay, not bad for spray cans.

IMG_3543_zpsc2ddded3.jpg

Then I put all of the suspension back under it, put on the Magnums, and rolled it outside for a wash. I forgot that it was actually a decent looking car when it was clean.

A pic of the bay outside, I have wired almost everything up and put power to it and everything works as it should.

Little bit of mockup of the radiator, condensor, and transmission cooler.

Ghetto brackets I made

And the jambs after being sprayed.

Not to be a naysayers , but you may want to make those brackets from some strap without holes.
That strapping will not hold shape well and will rattle and cause parts to move.

I would like to know more about the cover you have at the radiator, I might have missed it .

I did a 01 cobra swap, using the cobra radiator, and am looking for ideas , for mounting up the factory expansion tank.
