I made a few passes at the track Friday night. I made my first pass on motor and it was hilariously slow. 9.90. Then I heated the bottle a little (didn't get above 850 because I ran out of time) and made 3 passes on the 125 shot. It picked up pretty good and made 2 decent passes, the best being an 8.84@79mph. This was also my first time ever running a car and it spun pretty good on the nitrous, so I think the car probably had a 8.50 in it.

I drove the car for the last time for a while this morning. Then I pulled it in the garage and started teardown. I'm probably going to go on and pull the motor and smooth the engine bay, but at the very least I will put the heads and intake on.

Here's a pic from the track Friday.

And here's how the car sits now. The motor is basically ready to come out.

Made some progress today. The motor is ready to be pulled. I'm going to Vegas for the Barrett-Jackson auction tomorrow, but when I get back I'll start cleaning and prepping the engine bay.

Front clip was a lot easier to remove in one piece and the lines won't be as messed up when I put it back on.

I finally got a little bit of time to mess with this car again today. I'm losing motivation due to school and work and my other cars, but I really want to get this build rolling.

I started by removing all of the old crappy tape and wire looming from the wiring. There was a ton of nasty stuff that I removed.

Headlight harness stripped down

And the finished harness. Nice and taped up so I can tuck it easily and keep it out of sight.

Overspray removal. Apparently the glass was very poorly taped out at some point. Here's a 50/50 shot of the overspray.

The pinchwelds were terribly bent up from someone having zero jacking skills so I started fixing that today too.

After. I plan to paint them with the paint I use on the bay.

And the bay now. Still got the motor in it as I don't have a hoist. Hopefully I'll get it out Tuesday.

New motor mounts I picked up

And after a little bit of wire wheel action on the rough parts. I'm going to spend all day on it tomorrow and hopefully get it all clean and prepped and possibly primed. Then I'll do the scottrod panels. I wanted to get the rust knocked down and primed so it didn't spread like it would if I just put scottrod panels over bare metal.
