If I had to leave my car outside I would dissable the car before going to bed. keep that in mind

What do you mean? Other than removing a critical component I'm not sure what else I could do. There was another vehicle they had to move to get it. I also have a battery disconnect, but if the alternator is functioning, they can start it and keep it running.

Get this:

Ravelco Anti Theft Device

I have one on my Cobra and my Lightning. The ONLY way your car will get stolen is if it gets towed.
Great peace of mind. Check it out.

Hint= on my old 5.0 I would disconnect the coil wire but leave it on the coil so it looked to be connected= hint hint. sometimes I would forget I did that and could not start the car:??: LOL!!!
try to figure out something that can dissable the car but fool someone that pops the hood, hint, hint, hint...... hope I helped you

that would work.. except the Terminator has coil on plug and you'd have to pull all 8 coils to kill the engine..

here's ALL that you need..

I didnt mean to do that to the terminator it was a hint to give the guy an general idea. I said I use to do this to my old 5.0. hint hint means do something similar that can fool someone that pops the hood for a quick look. someone trying to steal a car is not going to stand there and diagnose the car. You simply dissable the car but leave it looking like its all in place. hint hint... im not going to give the goods. you will have to figure that out for yourself. OP, I hope I helped you out

You can wire a switch into the fuel pump (maybe tap into the inertia switch in the trunk) and hide the switch. Switch off = no fuel, even with a key.

Got the estimate back. They are having a specialist come in and do the steering column rebuild. Due to the tow truck they are replacing the rear bumper cover and I had to buy new stainless letters. Probably be done in a week. While there, I'm going to have them quote out getting everything perfect on the body and a complete shoot, so it may take a few weeks, but the car will be perfect when done.

quick question guys, how does low jack exactly work? is it expensive?

low jack is basically like a gps enabled tracking device. once its triggered by the company, the cops go searching for it. it gives them a beeping sound the closer they get to the unit(car). ive seen it in action on that car theft show on tv. if you call around you can have it done in the LA area for about $500 installed

on an old show car i was always nervous about, i had teletrack. that thing was BADASS! it could tell you the address that the car was sitting at when you called the 800 number! if it was being driven, they could tell you down what street and at what speed iirc. it had a monthly service fee though, plus the cost of the unit/installation. basically like what onstar is. i believe the company is gone though. lojack is a one time fee and that's it! also transferable to a new owner.

as for disabling the vehicle. couldnt you also pull the main engine fuse? i doubt thieves run around with an assortment of fuses like that. of course, it will still roll but that's about it.

When i park my car in my steep ass driveway i turn the steering wheel as far left as possible and hold it there while i shut it off so it puts pressure on the steering wheel lock, and then on top of that it goes in gear with the e-brake on, and on top of that it has a silencer alarm that won't let the car start without me pressing unlock on my remote within 15 seconds of a start attempt. Do you guys think i'm doing enough to protect my car?

OK, so the final estimate is $1750 - $500 deductable, the shop will repair the minor scratches and dents and repaint for $2500. The hood was damaged previously, and I'm replacing it with a new OEM for $400 from d&h. Car will have a tint issue fixed and the headlight lenses polished. Should look like a new snake when done!

Man that is awesome, glad you got your baby back. I'd lose my mind if my terminator got stolen. It's my dream car and I'm living that dream.

You are definitely lucky to have gotten it back. There have been about 8-10 of them stolen from the S.Fl. area and yours is the first I ve heard that was found.
