With a little adjusting I did get a comfortable amount of clearance to the shock tower. Now I have a 2.2L KB blower so the inlet snout may sit differently than other blowers.
I'll take some pics of the clearance tonight and post them here.

You were right..thats looks awesome. I never bought the shield for my kit and it is a very nice looking addition.

Good work.

Thanks. Yes I think this combination did come out well. Now if the TF intercooler reservoir shows up, I can add that to complete the deal. It is in black satin with a polished cap.

looks awsome. I see you used the sct meter and retained the stock cobra maf housing. I'm not a fan of the aluminum housings

Yes, actually the SCT MAFs were all plastic when I bought them. They switched to Al over the past year or so.

I mounted my front 18" AFS rims with the Toyo R888s 275/35/R18s today so they are a matched brand to my 315 Toyo R888 rears. Here are some pictures.

The Toyo R888 275/35/R18s are about 11" wide

Comparison to the 275/35/R18 Michelin Pilot Sports (about 1" narrower)

I planned on ceramic painting my rear calipers black (with the G2 paint kit) to match my front Brembos. (Unfortunately, my local powder coating shop is out of business so I cannot get them powder coated like I wanted to).

So I started to prep by cleaning the calipers. I washed them, used brake cleaner then I decided to scuff them up a bit to remove the remaining finish. I am now thinking I may leave them like this for a while. However I have a feeling I will be taking them off tomorrow to make them black!

A few more project updates:

Carbon Fiber Radiator Cover

Oil Separator
I mounted it on the right side of the engine bay so it looks cleaner and I avoided screwing into the plastic wiper motor cover piece. I painted the PCV valve black too. The kit included phillips hardware (!) which I replaced with allen head socket screws.

Stainless Steel T-Band Clamps for the Intake
Expensive, but they look nice and definitely seal. I polished the stainless steel bands, threads and nuts. I also custom cut each screw length so the same amount of threads are exposed.

Wow, after a couple years of progress, this car is probably one of the most cleanest cobra's I've ever seen! I miss my 2.2 KB. That blower sounded so wicked. I ran 17lbs daily and occasionally I'd slap on a 3.0 upper with my 4# lower and would see 21 - 22lbs on the boost gauge. I'd also add a mix of torco in my gas tank. Beautiful car and props to such a good job.

Thanks for the props! It means a lot - there is a lot of work in this. The worse part has been not driving it in any rain - 8 years and counting...

Although pretty much tapped out, the 'lil 2.2L is a good blower and definitely does scream.

I have a 14" rear brake kit in the works too. I hope to start it shortly.

Take care.

My next project step...

I have had the F14 Brembo kit from Venom Technologies for about 9 months now and have been amazed at their performance. http://www.svtperformance.com/forum...enom-f14-03-cobra-brake-kit-installation.html
The next step was to upgrade my rubber to Toyo R888s. Talk about a face plant with that setup!

Venom Technologies has just release their 14" kit (13.75" actually). *NEW* SN95 Mustang: R14 Rear Brake Package — Vintage Venom - Vintage Mustang Disc Brake Kits

I am prepping for the installation as I am the first Cobra IRS customer of these brakes.

Kit
The kit comes with the two rotors, brackets, and fasteners with shims.

The installation requires at least a 3/8th wheel spacer and longer studs. I purchased the ARP stud kit from Venom Technologies too. The studs require a 39/64" reamer to ensure the proper 0.008" interference fit for the splines.
