What's wrong with a SRA on the street? Tons of cars use a SRA just fine.

Well, you do sell IRS components so I would expect that to be your recommendation.
Personally, I would ditch the IRS immediately. I did after breaking the IRS and I'm pleased with the solid axle.
Congratulation's!! You have a Mach1 with a Supercharger:banana:

Yeah...because a IRS and SRA are the only differences between the two. Some of you guys make me shake my head. You guys aren't really like this in real life are you?
For years great handling cars have been coming from the factory with a SRA. I don't think the IRS is bad (I still have mine) but I don't think a SRA is bad either. I think you all need to just bolt your penis's back on and quit crying like a vagina about your ride comfort. Like said above, it's a Mustang for ****'s sake.
One of the reasons I sold my cobra..there were a few others though.True............ But If someone wanted a straight line fast car they should have gotten a Mach or GT. The Cobra with a IRS was built (but sucks in stock form) for handling the road. The IRS has proven its self in the 1/4 mile time after time though. just not ideal in stock form
But thats just my opinion

99.9% street car here with a solid axle and its just fine. It's a mustang. Buy a BMW if you want comfort. There are zero creature comforts in a cobra, the interior sucks, seats suck, etc...and you're worried about ride quality? Odd.

Some people have differeing opinions about ride and handling and what the definition of 'fast' is. There are people that think a stock Mustang GT (pick any year before '05) handles well and has good brakes. Let's just say, you probably don't want to listen to their advice about how to set up your car when they offer their opinion on the interent.
You are correct, many vehicles use an SRA today. These vehicles include city buses, dump trucks, garbage trucks, fire trucks, UPS and Fed-Ex delivery vans, etc. On the other hand, every single high performance sports car that is manufactured today comes from the factory with an IRS under it. :read: Do you have any idea why that might be? Can you name me one single high performance sports car that comes from the factory with an SRA under it? Just one!! Start Googling, I've got all day! ;-)

Really?? boss 302 ring a bell.. ya know that mustang with a stick axel that beats the m3 around leguna seca, that one.
A Mustang is NOT a sports car! :read: It's a pony car with a back seat.
Besides, the S-197 is NOT a quadra-bind, four link rear suspension like the SN-95 cars. It's a three link with a panhard bar. There is a HUGE difference. In addition the S197 chassis and suspension is so far superior in design as compared to the SN-95 cars, it's like comparing apples to hollow point bullets. ;-)
Honestly as far as driving around town I don't know if I could tell a difference at all between the two rearends.
