Is it being done outpatient these days?

Either way you should be home and feeling better in just a day after it's programmed.

I go into the hospital tomorrow morning for the operation at 9:00 am. Little bit apprehensive.

Don't sweat it. Of course there's always risk, but it's a relatively short procedure that usually ends up with great results.

My dad has congestive heart failure (20% heart function) and had an ICD/Pacemaker combo installed about a year ago. They had a rough time getting it programmed just right because he needed to be on a special medication to help with his heart, but it was messing up his already messed up kidneys. They failed so he's on dialysis now, and now he can take the heart medicine and everything has lined out. Hasn't had any problems with it in several months now. Knock on wood.
