BAB has been named differently a couple of years but it is the same paint code K7 K7 was available and made and a huger number of cars and trucks
Mystic or Bright Atlantic Blue and why?

I did have an underlying reason for creating this post. I love both colors, and like a few here have stated, I cannot pick between the two. I currently own a '96 Mystic that the previous owner(s) neglected to maintain the paint which led to a good amount of clear coat peel. While I am enjoying the car, and do have a plan for a temporary fix, I know that a full repaint with the BASF formula is not (currently) in the cards. There is a promising looking BAB Cobra for sale locally that would be within my price range should I sell the Mystic. I do realize that all of this is superficial and everyone's opinion is just that, their own opinion, but I just wanted to see what the general consensus was on both colors.

I love Mystic, but when compared to BAB, it just doesn't have the same appeal to me. The blue is such a unique color and grabs people's attention. I don't know how many times I get people asking me what color it was and telling them it was a factory color. BAB is far more rare as well. Yeah it came on other cars (varried slightly in color though) as this but that has absolutely nothing to do with Cobra's and what colors they were painted, Rangers, GT's etc will never be as much of a collector as cobra's so that point is irrelevant.
Bright Atlantic Blue is the most stand out, see it a mile away, head turning color I've ever owned. What people don't realize is that BAB itself is a very rare, very expensive paint. It has a compound pearl in it, and the last time I had paint work done on mine it was something like $80/pint.

i LOVE the mystic, and thought about picking up a cobra with that color, but it would KILL me if I scratched it.

Bright Atlantic gets my vote, though Mystic looks sharp.
I don't believe I've ever seen BAB and Grabber together. BAB has more metallic and is a slight shade darker isn't it?

This was BAB prior to getting it cleaned up for sale and next to Birdocs car.
Wishing I would have taken more pics other than the cars in the garage together
Mystic is not Mystic Chrome, and Mystic Chrome is not Mystichrome either.

I love Mystic, but I like BAB more. Haha. Here is my Cobra and this pic kinda shows a little how the paint pops. Like some have said before me, people ask all the time what color it is and if it was a factory color.
