EDIT: I want to give a little more background information about myself and the project. I'm 18, fresh out of high school and live turning wrenches. I am not made of money by a long shot, I work my 8-6 job Monday trough Friday, and do all my own labor. I want to make a statement with this project, that you can build your own magazine worthy truck without dumping a lot of money. The goal for the truck is to be featured on the cover of a major magazine, and create something I can drive everyday without being bored.
For record, I want it to be know I have absolutely no experience at all with this kind of stuff, no college, not even high school shop class. I have an undying love for all things with engines, everything I have learned about vehicles has come from reading, watching and asking lots and lots of questions. So just imagine if a little kid with no experience and just determination can build something like this, why can't you? I don't have the funds for nice tools, don't have access to a lift or anything like that. The whole point if this project is to show what's possible from very little cash, no experience, basic hand tools, and determination to learn. This build would cost anywhere from 40-70 grand if it was hired out, but I'm gonna show it's possible to do it for less than ten. So far I've got less than $400 into EVERYTHING you're looking at. Find a project and work your ass off for it, anythings possible
I also want to give credit where it's due, thank you to Mike at Midwest wholesale for givin me great deal on a truck and backing up his cars, if you need a truck, talk to him he's the man. I also want to thank cannonball at KB customs for the use of his shop, and helping with paint
Started out with my 2006 F150 Crew Cab short bed, with a 9" lift and some goodies inside. Well eventually I got bored from a lack of power and wanted a fresh start.
and moved on to this
