Bro, kill the motor! Lol. Are you scraping the bottom of the barrel now and comparing tune only terminators to a new 5.0. This conversation has never been about a 5.0 vs anything less than a pulled cobra. That's the whole point. We all know the new 5.0 is 420HP. Of course that's going to outperform a 390 Cobra. NOW, when the Cobra makes 450 with a pulley and near 500 with other simple bolt ons, THEN the Cobra has the advantage with even more room to grow with a forged rotating assembly and lower compression vs a high compression 5.0 that will be limited. That's the whole debate. Don't get all mad. The 5.0 is a great motor. LOL @ 5.0 owners who don't seem to even know what a terminator is, or is capable of. This debate will never end as terminators continue to depreciate and become even more affordable to mod with whipples or turbos. The 5.0 will have to depreciate more before its a more cost effective route than a terminator.
Well im a 444/386 and that red terminator had; catless exhaust, pulley, tune, intake and heat exchanger. a medium setup that has a lot of room to grow (a 2004 with only 13,000 miles!!!!) he said it current stood at 480whp/480 .. I 100% agree that the terminator is alot easier to obtain comfortably high hp levels without blowing the engine. I happened to have mine let go early, so we'll see what I'll end up doing with my stock compression car.
tomorrow i should have much cleaner more accurate results between out two cars.
A bolt on coyote in the 10's? Must have nitrous. Just seen the vid of a bolt on coyote with nitorus beat a lambo in the other thread.
In that video he pulled the lambo all motor and he destroyed the Gallardo on nitrous, that was the first race.
op:^^^ but in real life nobody gets judged on a handicap of how much cash you do or don't have. Plenty of people think that spending a few grand to get forged internals in there 5.0 is pocket change so there goes that advantage.
I love cobras, kinda want one as a daily beater myself
